Although charming at first glance, we quickly changed our minds on how adorable this place was. We arrived and as we entered to check in, a man ran in telling about a vehicle in the parking lot that just had the rear window broken out. The staff member thanked the man, but ignored him. As we went back to our vehicle, there was smashed glass all over the parking lot. It was obviously smashed out of a vehicle. It remained in the parking lot for at least 6 hours before it was cleaned up. This did not make us feel safe, nor did the sign in the parking lot stating the hotel was not responsible for anything that took place in the parking lot. Our room was close to an entry closer to the end of the parking lot, so we used that door over the main entry. There was a rock holding the door open and a lot of transients near the door smoking or sitting on the sidewalk or in run down vehicles. Again, safety was a concern. Our room was cute but very dark. Not all the lights worked. We found out it was likely dark so we wouldn't see the cockroaches in the room. The bed was very worn and uncomfortable. Breakfast was ok, but not many options for people with dietary restrictions. The eggs, did not taste like egg. When we approached the front desk to tell them about the cockroaches, they didn't seem surprised. The apologized, but didn't offer us any sort of credit. I asked if they wanted to see photos, and they declined. I believe because this is an ongoing issue. We would not stay here again.

Our stay here was nice, with clean and big rooms, especially for the price. We did have a little trouble with our non-smoking room wreaking of cigarette smoke, most likely from the guest the night before, but the hotel helped us find a new room and took care of it.

We loved the little courtyard area just outside the pool, very relaxing. The staff was very polite & helpful with anything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a very cute hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful. The floors at the baseboards in the lobby/elevator areas could be a little cleaner, but they weren’t bad. The room smelled very clean and pleasant. It could use a little bit of updating as far as the ceilings needing some touch ups and the bathroom wall paper was just starting to peel. Breakfast was good with a nice variety. Overall, this is a great little hotel and I would definitely stay there again.

It was a nice place. Clean but not overly clean rooms rustic decor was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful.breakfast was nothing to write home about but it did its job to fill our tummies. Coffee was hot and good. The CON you can hear everything people talking in the hallway, next door room and the water running in the next rooms bathroom all that was bothersome kept me up for hours.

The room had visible dust on everything. The entire hotel smells like smoke. The pool/hot tub area had a group of children that literally ran out everyone else from them trying to fight & using fowl language. We tried to let our children swim again the next morning & the same group of children were there, jumping into hot tub repeatedly when no one under 14 is permitted. No pool towels both days we were there.

We got upgraded suite due to reservation of choice having broken massage chair. The motel needs some TLC in carpet, wall decor and our rooms bathroom door. Breakfast left something to be desired. Not as many choices as we would have liked for hot foods or pastries. We would stay again but think twice due to many nearby hotel choices.

The room, pool area, bar area, lobby--all beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast was really good. The food was hot and fresh. The juice machine wasn't working but I assume that was a fluke rather than the norm. I highly recommend the Stoney Creek Hotel and we would definitely stay there again.
