Hotel was clean put restaurant not so great.

The Bird Rock Beach Hotel was clean and the grounds were well maintained and landscaped. The beach is small but protected from strong waves. The restaurant was terrible with a very limited menu and not such a great wait staff. Service was very, very slow. Unfortunately you would need to take a taxi to eat some place else since the hotel is somewhat isolated.

Location: Bad and nothing to do within a very large radius. Absolutely necessary to have a rental car or put a taxi on full time notice.
This place is a very rundown facility with poor management. One front office lady was great, the over somewhat lost as to what to do. The restrauant was a joke. We were moved from one room to another as the air conditioner was not working in one room. Didn't work much better in the other. We had hot water for about 10 minutes out of a five day stay. The view of the water is obstructed, the place is a mess with construction evidence strewn in every spot, there is no beach, there is no way to access the water. Overall, worse place we have stayed on this trip which has encompassed 11 islands and several hotels.

Pros: Staff, food, dive conveniences.
Cons: Some of the bedding mainly the pillows. Would have longer hours for the bar and food areas.
Location: It is on the ocean almost within walking distance from Basseterre. Too far and hot for us. Taxis or resort van to go any where.
We were in a standard room. If your spending a lot of time in your room its quite small and not set up for conveniences. It is not a party resort, bars close at 5: p.m. We had all inclusive and the food was excellent as the staff. Every one was friendly and tried to help out with needs. Dive staff was excellent as the dives. Location right on ocean. But shore has been altered for the dolphin swim project, Rockys Bar torn down. We missed out on that. It would not be a exotic resort for a honeymoon etc. But for our needs it was fine. We would go there again.

Hotel under major construction totally unlike pic.

Discovered on arrival that there was no beach, no sand, no waterfront. Complained and got a room upgrade from pretty bad to acceptable. Rarely got internet connection. 3 occasions when work was necessary either on water supply or toilet. Staff very friendly; very quiet - only saw 1 or 2 guests in first 3 days. Alone in restaurant. Food very good. Saw 6 other guests towards end of week. View from balcony was of the work site with back hoe and other earthwork equipment. Totally unlike pictured representation. Construction delays blamed for general condition. Nearest beach was a $12 U.S. ride away.

Nice hotel, reasonably priced

I stayed at this hotel for a week from December 25th, 2014 to January 1st, 2015. It was very comfortable for my family and I. The view from your patio or your room was out of sight. The staff was great! Liz at the front desk was amazing. She was very helpful and she goes beyond her call of duty to help out everyone. Our housekeeper was nice and friendly. She was very helpful to us as well.I can't remember her name. I even had an opportunity to meet and spoke to the owner. He is a really cool person, a nice man. Everyone at this hotel was great. I definetly recommend this property. Whenever, I return to St. Kitts, that's where I'll stay.

Place was Ok but basic - was there for business so my choice was dictated by budget. Rooms we large but basic. Tiny TV - remote did not work properly, AC leaked. Food was expensive and service slow. building next door is having major renovations done so a lot of noise from machinery / trucks etc. no beach or water access at all from the hotel due to this work.

Pros: The staff were very nice.
Cons: Could be updated... Not the most modern of hotels.
Location: Near the beach, but found it hard to see the views given in the description...
It was an ok hotel, nothing to complain about apart from the fact the view we expected was nowhere to be seen. Plus there was construction going on which didn't bother us but could see how it would annoy some people. The trees outside our hotel room prevented us from seeing out of the window clearly (we could see to the right). But to sit outside on the veranda at night and eat out our take out was lovely. Didn't get a chance to do the suba diving tho....

Nice hotel but close to nothing

Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful view.
Cons: Air conditioning could stand a bit of improvement. It really did not get cool enough until way after dark.
Location: There is absolutely no restaurant, bar, or shopping area that you can walk to, and a cab ride costs from 10 to 16 dollars to go to one of the above.
This is a very pleasant hotel with a very friendly staff. The room was very comfortable and the TV had network USA channels. Most rooms have a gorgeous view of the sea below. The restaurant on site served very good meals.

Had a wonderful stay. Very helpful staff, and the restaurant was very accommodating too. Overall great place to stay... No hot water... But ok as u don't need it anyway!
