Nice little break

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: Breakfast buffet that was included in the cost of the room, historical pictures of the Watertown area that were presented in the hallways of the hotel
Cons: Dated toilets, but they worked!
Location: In the heart of Watertown, close to the city square and the historical society museum. The library is itself a museum and worth the visit.
Very friendly staff. Everyone went out of their way to be friendly and make people welcome at the hotel.

Amazing hotel

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Great hotel, great location. Extremely clean. I felt so comfortable, the hotel is gorgeous. The front desk is always serving snacks at certain times. The hotel offers free movie rentals. Clean pool mini gym, great to continue some cardio. The continental breakfast was phenomenal. Full breakfast buffet. They had EVERYTHING YOU CAN POSSIBLY THINK OF. Great coffee, I can not complain at all. Trust me it is nice.

Good hotel for the price

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: The staff - really helpful and friendly.
Cons: The beds - the hotel advertises 'pillow top' mattresses, but our beds were definitely NOT pillow top.
Location: The hotel is in downtown Watertown and we drove about 10 minutes to the shopping area. It was too hot and humid to walk and explore the area.
We stayed for 2 nights while visiting Watertown. The hotel is old but our room had been recently updated. The bathroom was tiny - but really well laid out. The room was average to above average size. We had a room with 2 beds. Unfortunately one bed was as hard as a rock and the other was too soft, kind of like Goldilocks, but we didn't have a bed that was just right. The air conditioner worked great and even though it was stinking hot outside the room stayed nice and cool. The workout room is small but adequate with one treadmill, a recumbent bike, stepper and some weight equipment. The room was really warm and humid because it is attached to the pool area. The air conditioner couldn't keep up. Being able to borrow DVD's from the hotel library was a nice bonus. It kept the kids busy for a couple of hours in the evening. If you want the latest releases bring them along with you as the hotel selection is pretty outdated. What made the hotel worth staying in was the staff. They are the most helpful and friendly staff I have ever encountered in a hotel in either the U.S or Canada. All in all we had an o.k. stay that was good value for the money we paid.

Great breakfast!

Posted Aug 7, 2014
The room is dated and not the best shower facility. Tons of TV channels. Hotel provides DVDs of older movies. Wifi didn't work at night, but in the morning it was fine. The breakfast was more than a lot of other places. It was a hot breakfast - eggs, bacon, waffle maker. Super Walmart is about 12 kms away. Probably the last one before you hit Canada. So shop away. This is a great last stop before you go back to Canada.

Deployment homecoming

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Not far from all the things we had planned. clean, friendly.
Cons: Bathroom to small, everything to close for comfort. Breakfast could be changed up more often. Stayed 5 days had the same thing offered everyday.
Location: We came for a deployment home coming at Fort Drum. Alexandra Bay, Wine tour. Old McDonalds Farm. Just to name a few we went to.
Very friendly staff. What ever we needed they provided us with. Not far from Fort Drum. Very nice stay. Would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: clean , comfortable beds
Location: 5 minutes from Salmon Run mall and plenty of restaurants
My husband and I stayed here for a getaway. We had a small pet with us and were easily accommodated. The hotel is centrally located in Watertown. On Wednesday morning, across the street they had a nice farmer's market and different types of food trucks. The restaurant attached to the hotel, Savoury was lovely and we enjoyed happy hour appetizers there. Staff overall was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Not posh, but comfortable

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: THE staff was the BEST!!!
Cons: The finishes in the room could have been more visually pleasing
Location: couldn't be any closer to downtown. Close to shopping, multiple restaurants, parks .
nice comfortable room, Very FRIENDLY staff who were eager to help you enjoy their city with great ideas of where to eat, shop etc. Really nice breakfast included too. Best feature was the staff though... Really can't over emphasize how kind and friendly they were. Good location, close to everything!
