"Charming historic inn--a gem!"
This charming inn is on the Narional Historic Register. Beautifully updated with modern necessities (like beautiful bathrooms) and the location is wonderful in equally charming Clayton. Easy to get everywhere from here. Highly recommended! Be warned--update did not include an elevator but the efficient bellmen will bring your bags to your room.

"Nice boutique hotel not far from downtown."
My g/f and I had a great experience at the hotel. In fact I wished we'd spent more time there. I appreciated the aesthetics and the decor of the hotel with the exposed brick throughout especially. There was definitely some thought put into it. Some might find it to be too contemporary or chic I thought it was great. The room was well maintained, quiet and clean, though on the smaller side. We actually were moved to a different room, from the 5th floor to the 4th floor, because we really wanted a room with a bathtub. The staff kindly obliged us and moved us and we did in fact enjoy the deep tubs. Be sure to request one in your reservation if you want it. I actually liked the original room more minus the lack of the tub but alas we can't have it all in life I suppose. Each floor has a different theme so if there is a next time I hope to end up on a different floor. We didn't have a chance to check out the restaurant or lounge but we did walk through and it at least looked nice. Check in and out was easy. Parking was in a gated lot across the street but you can also park on the street if your schedule allows for it and save a few bucks. Overall I would recommend and would stay again if I needed a hotel in the area.
