Great economic choice for a visit to STL

The hotel is set up for extended stay, but we had a fantastic experience for the two nights we were there. The front desk personal were fantastic!

St. Charles area hotel

The first impression from the guy at the front desk was that I was a criminal until I proved otherwise. He treated me link staff at really cheap hotels do. The day time staff was much nicer. The room was large and clean. They only have housekeeping come once a week (if your stay lasts that long), so if you need someone to pick up after you, this is not your hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had a full size 'frig, microwave, stove, toaster, and dishes for 2. In the future they will have other appliances to check out, but not yet. The front door was not a straight shot, so getting a luggage cart through the maze was a pain. There isn't much with in walking distance, but the area is clean. Easy access to downtown St. Charles (less than 2 miles) which is great for restaurants and tourist sites.

Shower was awesome

Loved the shower, but towels could be a little softer. Would definitely go there again, if I need to stay at a hotel in St. Louis.

Every aspect of our stay was great except that the VERY comfortable recliner was sandwiched between the VERY comfortable bed and bathroom wall in such a way that it was hard to get in and out of the bed. That made the room feel a little cramped although it really wasn't. The stay was super quiet. Very pleasant employees there. CLEAN room. Almost perfect.

Very smoky bar atmosphere

We reserved a non smoking room and when we arrived and made it to our room the smell of smoke in the hallways and room was overwhelming. The front desk clerk said that every floor is divided at the middle with smoking and non smoking. Our room was at the very end of the "non smoking" part of the floor but it definitely did not help. About an hour of being there my wife developed a bad headache because of the stench. Gratefully we were allowed to check out right then and the clerk refunded our money. We walked on all three floors to see if it smelled any better in other places but we came to the realization the whole hotel would be like staying in a well used bar.
