Centrally Located

Posted Apr 8, 2014
The standard room was spacious. It was not, however, very clean. It looked like it had not been vacuumed. The buffet breakfast at the restaurant in the main hall was mediocre, at best. Breakfast is from 8 to 11, I arrived at 9 o'clock, and the buffet had been totally eaten through, and not refreshed with new foods. The selection was very minimal. For $19.95 a head, I would expect more of a selection. This is a high-end hotel, which is why my expectations were great deal higher. Because of the great location, and the concierge staff was impressive, I give it four stars.

Thank you for taking the time to detail your experience. Our concierge associates will be so pleased to know that they left you with a positive impression of their efforts. Service is of great importance to us and we hope to offer our guests the very best in all ways. With that being said, we must apologize if your encounter while dining was not as positive or if our buffet items were not replenished to your satisfaction during your visit. Providing fresh, hot selections is imperative and we will use your comments to do better. We hope you will visit us again so that we can provide you with an even better experience.

Little problems added up.

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Good location, access to shops and dining, beautiful lobby.
Cons: individual room needed to be checked.
Very nice hotel with beautiful lobby and fresh flowers there. Our bed was comfortable, however the blinds in the bathroom were broken. The phone in one room of our suite did not work at all....no dial tone. Also, we needed to request bedding for the sofa bed.

Beautiful hotel overlooking Forest Park

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: It was a well-kept, beautiful building with lots of character.
We stayed two nights in a one bedroom suite with a fold out couch. It was plenty of room for our family of four. The staff at the hotel were courteous and prompt with requests. Our room had a beautiful view of Forest Park. The location of the hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants, shops and the Metrolink.

Beautiful, historic hotel by Forest Park

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Stayed 3 nights while visiting St Louis for the first time. Hotel was beautiful, well maintained, clean, and the staff was very friendly. The style made me feel like I had been transported back to the days of glamour and luxury at hotels without being snooty. It provided great accessibility to all the sites and universities also!

Location was wonderful!

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Furniture could be updated and cleaned up a bit. The hotel was old and wonderful, but the furnishings shouldn't be.
Location: Trendy area with lots of coffee shops, bars and restaurants nearby.
Great location because it was walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars. A little more expensive than needed to be - could use a bit of an update.

We truly appreciate hearing from all of our guests, thank you! With so many unique features and attractions, The Chase Park Plaza has much to offer and we are grateful for your mentioning what aspects you enjoyed during your stay, including our amazing Central West End location. The little things certainly make a difference and we regret if you were not fully impressed with our furnishings and hope that it did not impact your stay too greatly. We would love to welcome you again in the future.

Nice hotel in Forest Park Area

Posted Mar 26, 2014
Pros: The hotel is on the historic registry and our room was very nice. We would stay there again.
The Chase Park Plaza is a great location as it is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The only drawback to the location is the proximity to Barnes Jewish Hospital. The ambulance sirens woke me every night. The hotel bar had a great seating area outside of the cinema where I was able to read while the kids went to the movies. The desserts were excellent. The Sunday brunch is supposedly award winning. It's $42/person and didn't look like enough for that price. We had reservations, but didn't stay to eat. Our waitress couldn't explain the details of the brunch in English and the manager actually yelled at me when I tried to get something from the "breakfast" side of the restaurant instead of the brunch side.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback about your stay with us. Our location certainly offers easy access to much that the area has to offer and we couldn’t be happier to know you enjoyed the great on-site amenities of our historic hotel as well as the service you received from our associates. We apologize, however, if you encountered any issues with our breakfast buffet. Excellent service at every level is paramount and we regret if you encountered anything less. Your comments will be shared with everyone here. We hope to welcome you back again for your next visit to St. Louis.

Very nice Hotel. Room nice. Air flow poor. Nothing but analog TV. Come on this is the 21 Century. Have to pay for WiFi

Great location near plenty of dining and the park.

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: It was clean and the staff was nice.
Cons: My only real complaint would the the TV in the living room. We rented a movie and the sound quality was poor, and a bigger screen would be nice.
Location: We walked to a cool bar called the Whiskey House. Lots of other places nearby. Also walked to a cool bookstore. Would have liked to go into thepark
We were overall happy with our experience. I read other reviews about problems with the valet. They were spectacular as far as I'm concerned. We were easy in and easy out every time, and they were always busy. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a view of...a roof and a wall. Our mini-bar was empty (but who wants to spend $4 for a coke anyway..especially when there's a convenient grocery store right next door). We had no coffee maker. We aren't coffee drinkers, so no problem, but still something that should not be overlooked at this price point. Those were minor details..no problem, really. But our suite was right by the elevator. Boo. From the living area, no worries, but in the bedroom, you could hear it going up and down and up and down all night. I'd stay here again, but I'd make appoint to ask for a room that wasn't right by the elevator.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. While we are delighted to know that you enjoyed your overall time with us, it certainly seems that we missed the mark regarding some issues for you, and for that we must apologize. Please know that this is not the typical experience for our guests and we will be sure to share your comments with our management team. Coffee and tea making amenities are available in all guest rooms, but we regret if this particular convenience was overlooked or if your peace was disrupted by sounds outside our guest room. If there is anything you need while you are staying, all you need to do is ask and our associates are always happy to help. We hope to welcome you back again so that we can impress you with all that we have to offer.

Don't judge a book by its cover

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Hotel did not recognize my reservation from expedia had to show the my confirmation on my phone. With that the room type I reserved could not be honored. I realize that room types cannot be guaranteed but to expect a family of three utilize a pull out couch. Not what I signed up for. The room or suite as they say was filthy dirty, we never received the linens for the pull out couch
