Nice hotel downtown near Busch and the Arch. Room was clean and comfortable. Only negative was small bathroom and an inoperable hair dryer. Restaurant is average. Breakfast buffet was good but did not include beverage.

Close to Busch Stadium...

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The bar and lobby area were very nice, and the room looked nice in the pictures. Downtown close to attractions.
Cons: Either more accommodating to check-in times when there are games, or have more staff working at the front desk when there will be crowds of people.
Location: Location was great, near everything downtown...which is why we chose this hotel originally.
Because you couldn't check-in until 3:00pm, everyone who went to the ball game had to check-in at the same time after the game...which made both lines wrap around the lobby area. We waited for 45 minutes just to check-in, and then found out that our room wasn't even ready (it was 5:30). Then when we finally got to our room to relax, the bed was stiff as a board and the couch was hard and scratchy.

The location is very convenient to the ballpark and many of the downtown restaurants. It's one of the few hotels in the area with an outdoor pool. If the hotel would just invest some money in updating the pool area, i.e. the carpet around the pool, the outdoor furniture, and the fascade of the work shed at the far end, it could be such a draw.

Few blocks from ball park village

Super friendly staff and very helpful when drunk. Hotel room could have used s netter cleaning cause there was trash under the sofa bed and wall paper was peeling. For the price paid for s suite could have been a bit nicer. I would definitely stay again though!!

Hotel was okay. Staff was okay. Had one incident where the sink water would keep runnung. Called the front desk. Said okay we will send someone to check on it. Left for Cards game came back. Problem was still there. Ended messing with the faucets and fixed it myself.

Proximity to Stadiums

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Proximity to Sporting Stadiums.
Cons: Underground Parking Garage is laid out like a mouse Maze. All Chopped up.
Location: Busch Stadium, Rams Dome, Restaurants all within 3-4 blocks walking. Very safe area as well.
Although parking in Underground garage is awefully chopped up due to limited parking, the walk to either Busch Stadium or the Rams Arena Stadium could not be better. Both are less than a 4 block walk and about 3 Blks. to all the good restaurants around the stadium and New Baseball Park Dining/Bar & Grill Built in 2014.

Nice hotel but my vehicle was broken into.

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: My GPS and phone charger was stolen. This incident pretty much ruined our vacation and driving home without my gps OR phone was difficult.
While parked at the Crowne Plaza Hotel guest parking lot, my vehicle was broken into. The security guard at the hotel called the police who wrote up an incident report. Both told me they were 'sorry'. I was not contacted my any hotel management personnel or receive any apology. I have called the parking lot's "claims" number and have left four voice messages without a return call. I was very disappointed in the lack of response from the Crowne Plaza.

Even with upgraded room - this place is a dump

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Location and General Manager - Julie
Cons: Ha! Everything could be improved. There's not a sinlge thing here that is okay as it is.
Location: Right next to the arch. Walking distance to restaurants, ball park and museum.
Welcome to a hotel with all of the potential, but no drive! Great location.... Great General Manager (she really did all she could to make our stay excellent). It's unfortunate that her staff is a bunch of clowns. Truly. From the night we checked in, when no bell hop was around - and I ASKED if i could use the cart to unload my car despite the sign that says 'Only for bell hop use' - to, then minutes later be verbally assaulted by what appeared to be a very drunk bell hop... to our room being so dirty that we had to wear SHOES because our feet were getting dirty and socks ruined from walking on carpet - to no linens on the bed, no working lights in the room, a nail in the floor that my daughter stepped on, pool being closed for no apparent reason...etc.etc.etc. The worst of it was the very incredibly rude staff. Front desk? Rude. Bartender? Rude. Concierge was nice, but made things up to appear knowledgeable and sent us on a wild goose chase - looking for things that didn't actually exist. Again - can't say enough positive about the General Manager here, Julie.... and there is a very lovely young lady who worked at the restaurant greeting guests. But even if they upgrade you to a two bedroom suite - your money is better spent at another hotel.... We will NEVER be back.

Nice hotel close to attractions

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Room is very comfortable and close to every attraction in the Downtown area.
Cons: Need a security safe in rooms and improve the wake up call system
Location: Location is perfect to attend the Cardinals games as well as the Rams and Blues. Also to visit the Gate Away Arch.
Staff was very friendly & helpful. Hotel is steps from the Gate Away Arch and Busch Stadium.
