“St Lewey”
I enjoyed the stay. I had stayed a week before at the Sheraton located directly behind the Crowne Plaza and was disappointed with the quality of the room as well as the $14 charge for parking. The Crowne plaza was nice, provided free parking as well as a free breakfast buffet.
“Most Excellent Stay!”
I found everyone working at this hotel to be extremely helpful and attentive. The hotel itself is nicely remodeled with large comfortable lobby. I love that it is only one block from the St. Louis County Courthouse where my business travels take me most frequently and I can park my car at the hotel for only a few $ per day and not have to be concerned about finding a place at a meter or running out to feed the meter. I loved my stay there this past week and will return OFTEN!
“Good Experience”
We have stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Clayton two times, for both business and pleasure. The hotel is not extravagant by any means but it is clean, the location is ideal, and the service is above average. We will return.
“A nice place to stay in Clayton”
Hotel is old and looks a little faded. Othewise it was really great. Staff was a friendly and helpful as can be. Free shuttle took me everywhere and again shuttle drivers were all friendly. Area is very nice.
“Normally terrific hotel, very bad experience this time.”
I have stayed at the Crown Plaza Clayton before and been very satisfied. This stay however was terrible. The hotel was full as there was a wedding there. It appeared that maintenance could not keep up as garbage cans were over flowing so that you had to step over garbage to get into the hotel from the garage. The bath faucet in my room was broken in that when I turned the water on instead of the tub filling or the shower working, I received a face full of water. The worse part was that the wedding guests were very loud to that I couldn't sleep until very late in the night. I go to a hotel to sleep and clean up in the morning. I couldn't do either well. To make matters worse, the person I talked to at checkout had an attitude .
“Old and dumpy.”
The pool was old and worn out. For the supposed four star quality, I'd say it fell well short of the mark. I opted for the breakfast buffet - what a joke. No cook was available for individual items. I'd not stayed at a Crowne Plaza before and this ensured I will never again.
“Comfortable bed and that is it.”
My wife and I went to St. Louis to see a concert. Old 97's were a great band. Wish the hotel was better though. When we got to the room it was very humid, and the heater next to the window would not work. Called the front desk and they said someone would be up to fix it. We were in a hurry so I just stopped at the front desk, and to my ignorance there was another control on the wall. Whoops. Wish they would have told me on the phone. My fault though. Bed was very comfortable. The next day when got in the shower there was very little water pressure. By little i mean it would not spray out more than 8 inches straight out. he hotel is hard to get around compared to the Crowne Plazas I have stayed in the past. Each elevator takes you to only certain parts of the hotel. Definetly will go somewhere else next time.
“Clayton Class”
This hotel is one of he better hoteslin the area. It is a local favorite for after ours entertaining and a popular meeting spot. perfect for connecting with lcal friends and family!
“Good place to stay in Clayton, MO”
Hotel is clean, well staffed, good resturant on premisis. Airport shuttle very convenient.
“Time for an hotel makeover”
Hotel was showing some age. Bathroom faucet had to be positioned just right in order to shut off the water. Some small upgrades to the room were nice, adjustable bath room mirror, nicely decorated. Hallways smelled a little musty. Parking garage could use a sweeping. Lobby was nice, concierge was helpful and friendly. Staff at front desk was nice.
