Great Amennities, Poor ExecutionPosted Apr 3, 2015
The staff was excellent, as were the amennities. The meals were a great added value. The room was clean and visually as expected. The main pool bottom was in poor repair and my children wound up with multiple painful scratches all over the bottoms of their feet. Both beds in our room were uncomfortable, to the point that none of us slept well, myself getting up four times during the night and all of us waking up stiff and sore. As far as would I recommend the hotel-everything else was great but the bed situation defeats the original reason for renting a room.

Odd room, but nice amenities and staffPosted Apr 3, 2015
Pros: Breakfast and drinks/dinner options were very nice. I can see this being a huge benefit to sports teams, families or couples on a budget...Friendly
Cons: If you can find a way to muffle the pool noise for room 103, that would be a good idea.
Location: Not much to do nearby but walkable to tram and 2 restaurants. Nearby mall seems very rundown and nearly empty so nothing to see there.
Will dispense with the one issue we had--housekeeping. Very nice staff who I am afraid just needed additional help the days we were there. We were out and about all day (stayed only 2 nights so needed housekeeping only after first night to refresh towels and tissue) and came back after 5:30pm and our room was still not clean. We simply walked across the hall and asked them for a few towels and told them to not bother coming at that point. They did mention they were still cleaning rooms, but we thought it awfully late to have an unclean room. Not a major issue, but it was unusual. Also, room 103 seems like it was a former large closet or something as it's oddly placed just off the lobby between main desk and the parking entrance. We came out of our room and another guest even said "that is a ROOM??!!" noting how odd it was in placement. The room was comfortable, beds were fine, bathroom was nice size, just hear all noise from the pool (as you're also directly above the swimming pool) until 10pm. Breakfast and dinner options were great. You can't find a bargain like that--the staff worked very hard to keep the food refreshed and were very pleasant. We will be back when returning to St. Louis--good experience for my first time there!

Pros: Free breakfast and dinner. Close to Scottrade Center. Comfortable rooms and very clear.
Cons: Our bathroom was very small for 3 adult women, but we managed.
Location: Close to all downtown attractions.
Had a pleasant stay. Staff was extremely helpful. Love the vintage feel of the building. Leonard's restaurant is excellent!!

Hotel near Union Station, across the street.Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: That it had availability for the week-end.
Cons: Front door entrance is locked at all times, so have to use your key/card or have someone let you in. Makes me think this is not the safest area in tow
Location: Across the street by Union Station. Hotel faces the train tracks. Within walking distance to Scotttrade Center, otherwise take a taxi.
An older hotel and quite small. Special events going on in St Louis that weekend so it was hard to find a room for that week-end. This was the last hotel to have a room left. The room itself was nice and quiet. Furniture outdated and tv was very small. Toilet was hard to flush, Felt like the room was overpriced for what we got. Have stayed in much nicer places for less cost.

Clean and quiet hotel in downtown St. Louis.Posted Mar 26, 2015
Hotel staff was extremely personable. Room was very clean. Beds were comfy. Very quiet hotel. Pool and hot tub were perfect. Also, the hot breakfast and nightly "snack" (really a meal) were outstanding. 3 free drinks each evening were an added bonus too. Would definitely stay at Drury again.

Best value in the areaPosted Mar 15, 2015
Have stayed in about 5 hotels in the immediate area and this is the best. Complete breakfast and dinner are included. Beautiful old building is fine shape. 5 good restaurants within one block. Easy parking.
