Best bang for your buck!

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Everything; location, room and parking.
Location: Needed to be near St Louis University and it was and it also was at Union Station.
Wow! Never stayed at a Drury Inn before, didn't know what to expect, what a surprise! Hot dinner, 3 free cocktails per adult, hot full breakfast and popcorn popping in the lobby. Room was beautiful and clean. Absolutely loved it!

Close to Busch Stadium, clean, friendly, safe.

Parking garage included with stay. Walking distance to ball park, arch, and most of downtown st louis. Breakfast was included. Swimming pool. Close to restaurants and shopping. You get a lot and pay less than if you stay closer to the ball park. Highly recommend.

Family friendly with great location

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: The offering of food morning and evening, the beverages (coffee and soda) 24/7, and the wonderful staff.
Cons: Not a thing I can think of!
Location: Great location. Being across from public transportation you have access to everything. Just ask the friendly staff at the desk.
This was our first experience with a Drury Inn, so imagine our surprise when we had our first breakfast. It was very good. Their meal setup is excellent, so that it is out of the way of the diners. The hotel is lovely, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the evening hot meal and beverage offering is very good, especially for families. We were there with a granddaughter and really appreciated it. The hotel is located across from Union Station and we parked our car free and never used it until we checked out. We used the Metro and the trolley system. We had a super time.

Great Hotel Near Downtown St. Louis

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Indoor pool and jacuzzi, popcorn and non-alcoholic beverages available 10AM to 10PM, hot breakfast with a wide variety of items, evening snacks/meal.
Location: Busch Stadium, The Arch, Old Courthouse, City Gardens, Anheiser Busch Brewery Tour, Soulard Farmer's Market, St. Louis Zoo (free)
Everything about our stay was very pleasant from the time we checked in until we checked out. This historic building was at one time a residential YMCA. The building has been carefully restored/maintained to retain the ambiance of times gone by. The rooms are perhaps smaller than in newer buildings, but we found ours to be well appointed and very comfortable. The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating.

Cons: See 'experience
Location: Next to Union Station shopping, restaurants, etc. Close to MetroLink station. Close to Arena where the Blues play.
Free parking in gated lot w/ entry & exit gates. Used Room entry card to enter but upon leaving had difficulty figuring out how to get exit gate to raise. I had left Room entry card in room upon checking out and was given a options of enter 'Code #' or to press intercom for assistance at the gate. Tried intercom first= no response, then entered my Rm # on Number Pad and the gate eventually raised. Of course, other cars were waiting behind me. This was my only exit and procedure was not explained at check-in. Also had hotel Rm Service person enter my room at 10:30A despite having a Do Not Disturb hanger on the outside of my door.

Don't get a smoking room!

Posted Aug 12, 2014
I opted to get a smoking room because it's such an inconvenience to take an elevator down stairs and go outside just to have a smoke. Now I wish I hadn't. The room stunk to high heaven. Even for me being a smoker, who smokes in my home, it was almost unbearable. Also, I felt that we didn't have very nice furnishings and it's probably due to the fact that it was a smoking room. A one night stay was $161 and it was not worth half that. I'm sure the non smoking rooms were nicer, and they did offer complimentary drinks and breakfast, which because of our busy schedule we did not take advantage of. I feel we should have had a much nicer and cleaner room for the price we paid. Next time, no matter where I go, I'll be getting a non smoking room!

Nice hotel for a family weekend getaway. The only downside was that the pool and hot tub were really dirty and they were out of towels.

Great place to stay and can walk to the game!

Posted Aug 8, 2014
I would have the happy hour start a little earlier when there is a night game. So sorry we didn't get to enjoy any of it.
