“Not as Expedia advertises”
This hotel is more like a 3.5 star than a 4 star. Maintenance of the rooms and quality of materials was disappointing. Large HD TV has no HD service and even the regular cable service came in with so much static I had to adjust the cable connection myself. The minibar was locked and I had to call for them to unlock it just so I could use the fridge. The closet doors were off the tracks and wouldn't go back on right (and I'm pretty handy in fixing things). The shower lighting was very dark. Overall, the hotel is very nice with huge rooms. Unfortunately, the rooms facing the Gateway Arch also butt up to the highway/bridge going over the Mississippi River. Road noise level was annoying. Very nice hotel overall, but disappointing for expecting a 4 star experience.
“Beautiful hotel”
Great hotel, clean and beautiful. Great value.... $10/day for internet is ridiculous and $10/day for parking is a downside too. Otherwise, no complaints.
“not that impressed”
The room was small, esp. the bathroom. The sofa bed was terribly uncomfortable and the bathroom did not have many towels.
“st louis getaway”
great location + really soft beds + nice price courtesy of Expedia
“Lodging in St. Louis”
This is our second overnight stay that we arrange when we attend the Fox Theater as we live in Illinois. The Hotel is without any doudt and we have always been well pleased with the support staff and meals taken. Rooms overlook the Mississippi and it is also attached to the Lumiere Casino and Entertainment Center
“very nice”
Exceptional front desk service

“great location lets do it again!”
hotel was great bathrooms are a bit small but everything else was great!!! cant wait till next year to do it all again....
“Great experience!”
I had the most pleasant stay at the Lumiere. The rooms were very clean and the beds were SO comfortable! The staff was very friendly and it was an easy walk to the casino and to my conference at the Convention Center. I would glady stay here again!!!
“Not staying there again”
Stains on carpets in rooms and in hallways. With the exception of the manager, Rob (who was great) and the housekeeper for our room (very nice and tried with what she had to work with), service was unfriendly or mechanical or overly friendly to the point of seeming fake. It took 2 requests and a trip to the front desk at 1:00 a.m. for a blanket for the sleeper sofa. There was a horrible smell coming from the drain in the bar area. After two phone calls they finally sent up a maintenance person who insisted the drain was not plugged, which we knew. There was clearly something rotten in the drain - We showed him black gunk we got from it with a stir stick. After much arguing he finally put bleach down the drain. When we returned that night the smell was so horrible we had to leave the door open. Rob, the manager was gracious, agreed it smelled bad and moved us. At 7:00 in the morning they had the roof being repaired which sounded like a jackhammer on the roof. The hotel has an atrium like center so the echoing is really loud, from first floor to top floor. They said there were flyers explaining it at the front desk. We hadn't seen them. Why not give them to guests when they check in so they are not so rudely awakened? Room are good size, but bathrooms are really small. You can barely open the door without hitting the toilet.
