decent location bad smell

Posted May 2, 2015
Room had an odd odor. I couldn't tell if the room smelled smoky or if it just had a casino like odor which I attribute to smoke. It definitely was not fresh and clean odor. Room was otherwise clean, quiet, and comfortable. Nice location

Very Average/Not What was Expected

Posted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: Had lots of room but outdated and no plug in outlets.
Cons: New carpeting and furniture. Secure faster wifi. More plug in outlets. Probably close the casino.
Location: NFL and baseball stadiums close by. It is St. Louis. Plenty to do.
Security would not assist me until I called hotel management. Room outdated, which made it feel unclean. King suite did not have any plug in outlets. In fact, the alarm clock was by the TV, which meant you had to get up to turn it off because there were no plug in by the nightstands. Refrigerator in room is pre-stocked but you must pay for whatever is used. They leave you no room to store your own drinks, food, etc. Room service food was really good as was the waitress. As for the casino, I am very skeptical about it. Definitely will NOT go back to the casino.

Nice hotel, smoky room.

Cons: Non-smoking rooms shouldn't smell like smoke.
Room was dated and smelled like smoke. Looked like someone tried to throw someone through the wall.

Pros: Cheap - Location
Cons: Lots
Location: St Louis Sports - City Museum - Landing Etc.
Cheaply built hotel. Thermostat fell off wall, Strong stench of stale water in Bathroom, Small Suites, Hot Tub was broken, Not a kid friendly pool. - Great location - Cheap for Downtown Suite

Misleading

Posted Apr 14, 2015
They failed to tell you that they charge to park in their lot. The bathroom floor was dirty. They front desk staff are unfriendly. Location is nice but difficult to find. Not worth 200.00 for the night.

Only stay if you want to go to the casino...

Posted Apr 14, 2015
We booked this hotel specifically because it has an indoor pool - hard to come by in St. Louis and a major requirement for kids on Spring Break. The pool was closed for maintenance the entire time we were there - the kids were very disappointed. In addition, the carpets in the room and hallways were stained, there were stains on the sheets in my kids' bed, and the bathroom door didn't close all the way on the bottom (where it was chipping). The hotel staff was super friendly, but unaware of their surroundings (like the fact that downtown St. Louis is under construction).

Staff was very rude. The hotel was a small step up from a comfort inn. Very disappointed!

Comfort

Posted Apr 13, 2015
The hotel is lovely. I've stayed here once before, but the air in the room was terrible. It stayed warm in the room for the 2 days I was there. I mentioned to one of the front desk attendants about the air, but I was told there was no other rooms available. So basically I was stuck. It's a good thing it was not too hot.

Awesome Hotel

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The atmosphere and appearance
Cons: Room was a tad dated, but still very nice.
Location: The arch is near by, there is a skywalk to the casino, so much to do within a few miles!
Myself and two friends came to St. Louis for a guys weekend and chose to stay at the HoteLumiere. The hotel is beautiful and has a ton for young people to do. It's location is awesome and the staff was awesome. I will be back to this hotel in the near future and suggest that you stay here. The casino was top notch and the buffet was AMAZING! Our waitress Cynthia provided me with the best service I have ever had. This is a bucket list hotel and casino!
