Nice hotel, close to arch and Busch Stadium.

Nice hotel, room a little small, but comfortable and clean. Just a short walk to Busch Stadium for a ball game.

Enough Room for 2

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Very clean and the staff were very helpful and had a great attitude.
Cons: More space within the "double room".
Location: This hotel is within walking distance of the Arch, the baseball stadium and a good number of restaurants.
Great experience staying at the Haytt Regency. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed two nights. I booked a double room. The pictures on Expedia's site made the rooms look bigger than they actually are. My fault for thinking they would be spacious. We stayed in a room with one King and had a roll away bed brought in for the kids. The only other option was two full size beds and that wouldn't work for my wife and I. To say the least we were a bit cramped. I would stay at the Hyatt again if I didn't have my kids with me.

Convenient to the Arch, very helpful staff

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Staff
Cons: Ree internet
Location: Arch, old court house
Oddly, we had the best suggestions from the parking valet and the front desk clerk, but everyone wanted to help us find restauarnts, unload the car, find things to do. A lovely place. But I really don't understand why a hotel like this one, upscale and high quality, expects people to pay for internet. It's absurd. Much cheaper places give you internet and breakfast. I'd settle for internet.

Great Place!

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Location, Location, Location and super clean!
Cons: Poor water pressure for shower could be improved.
Location: Night life for adults and Sports fans all around and close enough to walk too.
Hotel was near all the nightlife! Great place to experience St. Louis, walk or take carriage ride to most locations.

Doesn't honor exact Expedia booking

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Close to the a Arch. In room safe. Pleasant counter staff though couldn't/wouldn't change our room. Bellboy very nice, positive attitude, helpful.
Cons: Honor booking. A couple of tea bags and a little coffee pot would have been greatly appreciated. Reduce parking fee.
Location: Visit the Arch. Not far from Cathedral and Anheuser-Busch, both free and well worth the visit. Nice electronic system to gather local tourist informat
Due to airline issue we knew we'd arrive to the hotel late. I called them hours in advance and was told it was okay. However, when we got there they told us they didn't have to exactly honor Expedia booking. We had same size room, but it was a smoker's room. We were told we wouldn't notice the smell since they spray the room and have air cleaners in the room. Well they did have an air cleaner, but you could smell and practically taste the smoke. The hall had a strong smoke odor too. We were told that they were happy to give us a view of the Arch- well, one side of it anyway. Elevators were very slow so we walked down stairs each time. Walked up a couple of flight for better access to other elevators. Expensive to park on site, but better than in on street lot some distance away. Young adult conference held at hotel so it was hard to get through lobby at times. Loud too.

Not a typical stay at the Hyatt!

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Views, location
Cons: Customer service
We went to St Louis for a funeral and had a very late check in, which I did put in the notes of the reservation. However, they sold my room anyway, even though it was already paid for. So they put us in some kind of conference/suite with NO bed! It had a pull out couch, which there was no way my husband and I would be able to sleep on that together. It was a little floppy mattress that everything rolled to the middle. So we made a little bed for me on the corner of this L shaped couch. If that wasn't bad enough, we had to wait 30 minutes just to get pillows from housekeeping. The guy at the front desk could not understand why I wasn't happy. I spoke with management the next day and they were nice, however other than management, most of the people I spoke with were not very nice or helpful. Especially since you pay $28 a day for valet plus tip and they want you to go down to a garage to get your car. I was all dressed for the funeral and go to get my car and they tell us we need to go down to the garage. I asked if it would be a problem to bring the car back to the front where I dropped it off and he got quite irritated with me. There's more, but no one really wants to hear all the drama! At the end of the day it's a nice hotel with great views and food, however it didn't workout so well for me this time. We will probably go to the back Hilton across the street.

Family Reunion

My only blah was the parking fee $28 valet overnight or $21 overnight in a parking garage around the corner which did not look safe walking from @ night. Also the daily rental of $35 for a wheelchair to take it off promises....

Hyatt at the Arch

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Hotel staff was very accomodating. Only issue I had was that they wanted to charge 9.95 for internet access. I felt like this was a little much considering they charged 28.00 to park.
