Smelled of cigarette and like skunks. Only two set of towels. The bathroom looked clean until I turned on the shower. Something brown on the walls and floor. Pencil shaving on the back of the toilet. It was a no smoking room. By the looks and smell someone missed the burned marks that we're everywhere. With the allergy and other health issue my family have was very disgusted with the service or the lack of! They do not need to be listed for out-of-Towners.

I enjoy my stay when I was @ the room I was more out in about more than I was @ the room I was just in st Louis just to kick it for the weekend to see cash out @ the loft that weekend I had so much fun I kick it so hard I was hang over the next day :)

This hotel was not even a one star hotel, no shampoo in the rooms no ironing board no telephone, was in a bad neighborhood, The continental breakfast consisted of a few dried donuts and orange juice and coffee

No daily room service.
I spend three nights in the Knights Inn, no daily room service at all, I have to go to the front desk ask for clean towels. Without service, I don't want to talk about the cleanness, although it was quite clean the day I checked in. A lot of abandoned buildings nearby, make me feel uncomfortable. Just 20-30 mins drive to the Gateway Arch.

You get what you pay for
Hotel rating was described as "good", which was a step up from "fair", so I figured that it would at least be acceptable. Especially considering how common it is for many to complain or harshly judge. I will attempt to be entirely fair and accurate. Before I begin, let me say that I am a Navy Gulf War veteran 6 feet in height with an athletic build and have both lived and been in a few rough areas in my life. That said, I will continue. I found the hotel (only because I had a GPS) in a less-than desirable neighborhood and less-than convenient location. Once inside, I was given my room access card by the hotel clerk who was actually friendly and helpful for a 4am check-in. But then I proceeded to carry my luggage up two flights of stairs (no elevator) to a dimly lit hallway with very old and stained carpet. I honestly felt like I was in an old city ghetto apartment. Once inside my room. I felt the need to latch my door from the inside, only to find that it had been ripped off the door frame. Then, at some point in the wee hours of the morning, I was awakened by a strange man wandering around, occasionally shouting some word that I couldn't understand. Upon returning again after business that evening, I saw him again. This time with a female who, to me, appeared to be working the night shift, if you know what I mean (forgive me for presuming, but like I mentioned earlier, I was in the Navy and have seen a few things). Once again early in the morning, there were two or three bursts of some unintelligible word. Upon checkout I mentioned the gentleman to the clerk. Turns out that he was their version of hotel security! Yeah, I don't know either.... (He said he would talk to him :)) Anyway, the rates were relatively very cheap ($40/night), the room was decent with an air conditioner and nice-size flat-screen tv, and the king-size bed was clean and comfortable. So if you don't mind feeling like you might be on the set of a CSI film or are from North Minneapolis, it's really not that bad! Always remember... You get what you pay for.

The hotel room was pretty clean and comfortable. We needed a non-smoking room and ours was just three feet from a smoking room. The room smelled musty. On the first night, there were so many smokers across the hall that the smell was very strong in our room. At one point, it was very clear that it wasn't cigarettes being smoked. My wife became very sick from the smell and we couldn't open the window for fresh air. The next two nights were smoky but not as bad. If you want an inexpensive place that isn't too far from interstates, it's okay, but the smoke is definitely a huge problem.

You Don't want to go there!
This is apparently a family run business that does not understand what travellers want. We specified a non-smoking room. We were given a room that had an ashtray in it and reeked of smoke. The second room seemed adequate until we turned down the bedspread-obviously the blanket was recently used in a smoking room and not laundered before switching to a non-smoking room. I should have twigged that something was wrong when the lobby reeked of smoke with non-smoking signs all around the lobby. The air conditioner was not putting out any cool air but did make a lot of noise. Fortunately, I could open a window. The continental breakfast was a few stale powdered donuts and weak coffee. I would not stay there again for free.

Just the basics, close enough to everything you need, 20 minutes away from downtown St. Louis. Check In/Out was simple. Plenty of convenience and food nearby. Just off of I-270, easy to find.

Ended up leaving!
We checked in and opened the door the room had trash all over it from the last person, beds were made that's a plus, but no joke there was coke cans, crumbs, trash, food still sitting on the tables and counter and dirty towels on the bathroom floor. That to me is just unacceptable, and we couldn't get any help at the front desk.

better then expected
We just wanted a cheap room to sleep in for only a couple hours. Walked in and had a flat screen T.V. fridge and microwave in the room and also the room was right next to the front desk door didn't have far to walk! Well worth the money we paid!

Hotel was reasonably priced at $44 a night but hotel was dirty and hotel workers were rude. I drove 8 hours and they wouldn't let me in an hour early to my room although noone was there. Charged me $10 extra to get in. Rooms were nice but outside of hotel had a lot of trash and in need of basic maintenance. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great place if you are resourceful
I can see how people could get easily lost finding this hotel (I used Google Maps-satellite beforehand to see where it was located and what landmarks to look for) The neighborhood is rundown with mostly vacant lots with razed buildings (but I don't recall seeing anyone who wasn't at the hotel when I was there -- kinda like a hotel in the country w/ an interstate next door) Could not get internet access at my desk (moved laptop to other corner -- on my bed for internet access. Spent two days working in the cramped space between bed and BR wall) I guess I could complain about five other things if I had to. BUT! It was a quiet setting with a good bed and excellent BR and I felt secure.

Overall this hotel is perfectly adequate. The bedroom was clean when we arrived, but the bathroom was kind of disgusting. The hotel manager was really nice, though, and immediately sent someone up to clean everything, even though we didn't get in till late at night. Other than that first impression, however, the stay was really quite enjoyable, and our room was really clean overall. The hotel was only 20 some minutes from the ballpark, and there was an Applebee's within walking distance. If I spend a night in St. Louis again I would consider this place.

For what I paid it was ok. The location wasn't in the best part of town and we were afraid to leave the room after dark. There was supposed to be a breakfast, but they only had donuts and coffee. But for only paying 51 a night you cant be to picky I quess.

Considering that the average night is 50$ one really cant be all that picky about the hotel but this place is not bad just some small things that are a little "ehh". Check in and out are very fast and easy. The hallways have that dull smoke smell which is quite annoying but in the room I stayed in that smell was non existent. the air conditioner works but the room will heat up fast when its off. Beds are comfy as well as the pillows. bathrooms are pretty nice but for the love of god, bring your own towels. Hotel is a little hard to find but is close to many food options so that's a plus. Overall if you want a good place without spending much this is it.

DON'T STAY HERE!
If there were zero's I'd add those to this hotel. Drive the other way as fast as you can. The front desk employee was terrible and wanted IDs of everyone there (including a child!). She was one step away from racially profiling us, even though we 'd paid in advance. The room itself had an iron holder thing, but when we asked to use one there wasn't any. Also no fridge in room. The non-smoking room was actually non-smoking which helped. If it wasn't for the demeaning service I might have considered staying there again, but not now.

very convient to other family member homes
I felt very welcomed to MO the staff at the hotel was very accommodating the rooms were very clean and the service was great, this is a great hotel if you are not looking for all the amenities the location is great very easy access to any event or business meeting. The hotel also came with WiFi which I needed to keep up with on my on line studies.I would stay there again when I go back.

This hotel was disgusting... A friend and myself stayed two nights here for a convention. Her bed had a blood stain on the sheet. The bathroom had black mold looking stuff on the handles in the shower. It had a very odd smell. I would not recommend that anyone stay here ever. Spend a bit more money and go somewhere decent.

Good business-traveler hotel.
While very spartan and lacking in 'extras' this hotel is excellent for a quick stay as a business traveler. If you need to do laundry bring your own supplies, their washer costs $1.75 per cycle and their dryer the same for 45 minutes of drying. There's a QT literally in view and walking distance for most other items, and both a 'fridge and microwave are included in the rooms which makes handling meals convenient.

You get what you pay for. For a cheap hotel, this place was a good option. The rooms are a lot nicer than the lobby area, so you can't judge a book by it's cover. Was disappointed in the "continental breakfast." (a few donuts and danishes with warm orange juice...)

A reasonable place to flop for the night
The first night there I was a bit concerned because the hotel seemed to have a very old smoke smell, and I suffer from allergies anyway, however the next day they put down new carpet and the smell was greatly alleviated as well as my symptoms. I think overall for a cheap hotel this one is pretty good. It has free wifi, a refrigerator and microwave, a couple desks, reasonably good bed, staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is just some light pastries and instant orange juice, so not much nutritionally speaking, but if you just need a place to flop for the night, this is decent enough and the price is right.

Shocking low standard
I knew this would not be a high standard, I knew that it would be basic, so I went there with the expectation of a place to stay that would be acceptable to the above. What I found was a bed that appeared to be unchanged from the last customer, bins not emptied, and a general unclean appearance. I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and it should be reviewed by whoever it is the responsibility it is to do this.

For the price I expected alot less.
While this is not anywhere near a 4 or 5 star hotel it is not a bad "Cheep" motel. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, and being just off I270 was convenient. In a past job I traveled all over the states and I have been in a lot worse places for much higher prices.

The owners were very kind and accomodating. I was a woman traveling alone so they put me on the second floor when requested. They also gave me an extra sheet when I asked. It was the absolute cheapest hotel I could find but I did feel safe there. They had a night security guard in the parding lot-maybe for all the women there for the Joyce Meyer women's conference. The room had clean sheets and towels but the bathroom counter had a man's shavings. The carpet really needs to be regularly steam cleaned in the entire hotel. Room had a nice flat screen TV and free wifi. I would stay there again because they were so nice.

we felt unsafe and afraid to go out after dark, we couldn't even get pizza to be delivered to this hotel and the Quik Trip had a police officer guarding the door. Very scary experience
