Fun Neighborhood

Posted Jul 9, 2014
We had a two queen room on the second floor. We are a family of 5 and packed a portable crib for the baby. The room was clean and modern. Nice H2O hair and body products, good coffee, and a hair dryer and mini fridge in the room. Nice big Free parking behind the hotel. Walking distance to shopping, food, coffee, ice cream, and entertainment.

Moonrise is such a cool hotel. We were greeted with a cocktail when we checked in. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Watching fireworks from the roof bar was the highlight, But brunch on Sunday was a close second. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Good stay for a visit to WashU

Staff very friendly. Party member each received an umbrella- no string attached. Fit more the hip and hype crowd but was never-the-less a good stay.

Beautiful but noisy room

Posted Jun 14, 2014
Our room was located on the 2nd floor directly above the main entrance to the hotel and valet parking, it was extremely loud while we were trying to rest.

Great quirky hotel

Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: The location was convenient for visiting downtown St. Louis. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. The rooftop bar was great.
Location: The Delmar loop looked very interesting. We plan to visit again and spend some time exploring the nearby area.
The Moonrise was a very nice quirky hotel. The room was large and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The rooftop bar was great. The staff was attentive and the drinks were good. It was very relaxing to sit and look out over the quiet neighborhood. We were in town for a baseball game. The hotel was only two blocks from the metro station. It was easy to get downtown and back. We have already recommended this hotel to others.

Great hotel in a cute neighborhood

Posted May 31, 2014
We stayed for three nights, and the husband and I loved this hotel. The neighborhood is safe and full of little shops and and great dining options. The free public parking is right behind the hotel. The bar on the roof is great, nice view of the city. I'd recommend skipping the hotel restaurant and getting dinner down the street, so many great restaurants, but their breakfast is really good!

Bed-Amazing. Restroom-small but also amazing.

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: Bed! Bathroom-shower head and sliding door.
Cons: Website and all booking sites need to be updated to show rooms do have a mini-fridge in them. Heard a little bit of hallway noise.
Location: Name it. Bars, restaurants, shopping, historic movie theater, historic bar/restaurant-Blueberry Hill. Great area of St. Louis
None of the write-ups about amenities listed whether this hotel had mini-fridges in the rooms. They do. The staff was super-friendly. The room was clean. Room service was prompt and food was great. Price was not unreasonable either-for the room or the room service. Will definitely stay here again when in St. Louis. Wished our stay was longer.

Not a *relaxing* hotel!

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: The staff was always nice.
Cons: Keeping the sound in the common spaces down and just attention to details throughout.
Location: Young, college crowd. Good restaurants and some decent shopping around the Loop.
Many events and parties at this hotel. Not a quiet place to stay at. The hallway noise was loud throughout the night and we could hear the dj from the roof on another night. It's a theme hotel for sure, The place is nice enough and clean enough just not high end finishes or surroundings. The knock-down stucco walls, cheap shower floor, no exhaust in the bathroom and the colors throughout the room were all disappointing. Unruly kids in front of the hotel at night would make some feel unsafe.

Very Stylish and Unique.

Pros: The theme. Modern mixed with classical. Friendly staff
Cons: The elevators. Me and a few other guests had a crazy time with them. You have to insert your key to make it move and wouldn't work sometimes.
Location: Avoid going too far east on this street if your looking for fun. The pastery shop near it has great food and I hear PI is the best in St Louis.
The hotel itself was very nice. It had some really cool artwork in the room and the general theme of the hotel was pretty consistant. On the roof, there is a bar with a nice view of the city. The drinks are not cheap but this is a hotel we are talking about. The area around the hotel can be a little sketchy. A few blocks away you get into the lower income areas. But the street its located on is nice until you hit that point. Overall, This seems like the perfect hotel for having a good time with your friends or a night out with your lover.
