Cool Atmosphere, adequate roomPosted Jul 31, 2015
Once you walk in, you are in awe. Great decor and ambience. Rooms are normal rooms. Bathroom/shower is small. Nothing spectacular. Friendly, helpful staff. Great price for what it is

Just so cool and beautiful!!!!!!Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Gorgeous and when the world is turning into "every place you go is the same", this is different. A diamond in the rough.
Cons: Housekeeping knocked on our door 3 times in the morning. They were very apologetic, but it kind of bummed us out.
Location: The City Museum is worth the whole trip. The Arch was amazing. "Pi" restaurant had amazing pizza and just good food.
My family decided to go somewhere we've never been so we road tripped to St. Louis. I read an article about The City Museum and had to go. I googled "cool hotels in St. Louis" and The Moonrise popped up. They were not wrong. It's not a cookie cutter hotel. It has style and personality. Mid century modern. The Chihouly inspired chandelier (I asked the front desk if it was a true Chihouly and he told me the artist was a student of his). The people that work there were kind and effiicient. Even the food was tasty. We would go back again for sure.

Great stayPosted Jul 27, 2015
My husband & I stayed just one night. Every hotel employee we encountered was friendly & greeted us. We used the valet parking and they were quick as well. We were upgraded to a suite because of our Expedia VIP status, and were told upon check-in that the manager would be around to our room that evening for personalized turn-down service. We were out to dinner at the time so we weren't there, but when we returned to the room, the bed was turned down and a plate with two "Moon Pies" was sitting on the table; it was a nice touch. The room itself was clean and very comfortable. I thought the decor was cool too. We also went to the rooftop bar for a few drinks and it was lovely. Good breeze, great views over the Loop, and comfortable lounge furniture. We do not travel with pets, but I did also notice in the lobby there was a pet station with water bowl and treats, which as an animal lover, I was happy to see.

Be aware of the hallway noise during sleep.Posted Jul 19, 2015
I was waked up twice during the night. The hallway talking volume was so loud that you can hear clearly in the room. The noise isolation was not expected in such boutique hotel.

Fun decor and near lots of restaurants. Beds were comfortable and staff super helpful! Valet parking $17 reasonable I thought.

RefreshingPosted Jul 7, 2015
Cons: Maybe a little bit more of a menu in their restaurant?
Location: It is on Delmar St. by the Pageant and Pin Up Bowl. There is also a few restaurants around.
I live on the Illinois side of the river and have been waiting for an excuse to stay here and I'm so glad I finally did. Everything about this place makes me happy. They are eco-friendly to include a recycling bin in the room. They are fun, The art everywhere is whimsical and entertaining and this once again stretches into the rooms, making the experience that much better. Staff was friendly, they have a guard walking around the parking lot and the cherry on top is the rooftop bar. It is open 3am everyday and is perfect for these summer nights. Drinks were even reasonably priced. I got a newspaper under my door in the morning. They take care of all the little things. Pin-up bowling is right down the street for something to do and if a show was happening you have the pageant there.

Booked a room for one night. Found out it was our engagment night and got a bottle of champagne delivered to the room! Very clean and comfortable bed. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Only problem we had was recharging the room keys, kept deactivating.

Too noisyPosted Jul 4, 2015
Defiantly a hipster hotel! It was unique, clean, and friendly. Rooms were not very quiet. We could hear people in next rooms talking, flushing and running water.
