Weekend night get away

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Stayed Saturday night after a night out. Hotel room was very nice and clean. Bathroom sink was very pretty but a little clumsy with raised bowl and lack of counter space, not a big deal. Great hotel for after a night on the town, but a little noisy for a relaxing getaway.Had brunch on Sunday at hotel restaurant. It was good but a little pricey $60 for 4. Also not the place for a traditional breakfast. Not really offered. Overall very nice hotel will definitely be staying there again.

Pros: We loved the free cocktail at the counter at check-in! Great touch.
Exellent, as always. We have stayed at Moonrise on a few previous occasions while attending the "Memories of Elvis" how at the Pageant. Great accommodations and location.

Great hotel close to the theater

Posted Dec 30, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Can't think of anything!
Location: Next to the Pageant Theater and several good restaurants within walking distance.
Staff has always been friendly and helpful. They are quick to ask if we need assistance.

We love The Moonrise! The staff is great and the hotel is so nice. We especially love the amazingly comfortable beds. Room service is delicious and the rooftop bar is a blast! We look forward to our trips to the moon!

Beautiful, extremely pet friendly, themed hotel

Posted Dec 3, 2014
This hotel was absolutely amazing. Starting with the location, it could not have been a better area. Shopping is practically next door with great restaurants across the street... Not that you'd need it! The in hotel restaurant (the Eclipse) seems just wonderful as was the bar. Room service on both until 3 am I believe. If you visit, the Michigan Pims Cup is excellent. Next, the hotel is seriously the most pet friendly hotel I've ever been to outside of Austin, TX. They give you a cute bandana and some treats as soon as you arrive, and there's a water bowl in the lobby which I very much appreciated after a long drive with my puppy. They have complimentary dog beds and food/water bowls for your stay, and the staff love your pets. My dog is a very anxious dog, especially in a new place, and even she enjoyed her stay. The rooms were beautiful. The bathrooms are very nice with a rainfall shower head. I know it sounds strange, but after a full week of staying in hotels, I appreciated that they didn't stock the bathrooms with the cheapest one ply toilet paper they could get. I know, it's weird to even mention, but at end stretch of my vacation I was really looking forward to being home, and that made the last two days of driving suck a little less. Lastly, bring your own pillow in. The sheets and bedding are great, but the pillows are very firm and high with no squish!
