It sufficed.Posted Oct 22, 2013
While the accommodations were adequate the perks were lacking. There are other hotels within walking distance that offer much more for less money. I will do a little more checkng before I commit next time. The chairs have seen better days and need to be replaced. None were comfortable enough to even sit on in the room.

We’re sorry that our accommodations were not more impressive. We certainly are a more classic hotel in terms of design and are a smaller downtown hotel, but we feel our associates provide some of the best service in the city. We hope that if you don’t find a hotel that you prefer that you will try us again.

Dated...Posted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: The staff was wonderful!
Cons: The rooms desperately need an update.
Let me start of by saying the hotel staff was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. The suite on the other hand was extremely dated. The carpets were bunched in places (they were probably originally tight, but 20 years later they were sticking up in areas), the lamp shades and curtains seemed dingy, the tile in the bathroom was cracked and had mildew in the grout lines, the bed seemed to sag in the middle and the springs would make quite a bit of noise and there was very little water pressure (you could not take a shower and have someone wash their hands at the same time). My wife and I have stayed in several other Omni properties and have always been impressed with the rooms, but this property really needs some help.

We appreciate the kind words about our staff. We have a very classic design in our guest rooms and pride ourselves on maintaining a clean, comfortable hotel. That being said, we apologize for checking you into a room with mildew and broken tiles. We will make sure to share this review with our housekeeping manager and focus on the condition of every part of the room.

Nice boutique hotel.Posted Oct 8, 2013
This hotel is older but in excellent condition. The rooms are large and the beds are really comfortable. We got in too late to eat so I cannot mention anything about the food and I have no idea what is around it. I can recommend this hotel just for its own sake though.

Unsafe hotelPosted Oct 7, 2013
Cons: Secured parking lots
The first night we stayed at the hotel we parked our car in a parking lot across the street but our hotel window directly faced the parking lot which was well lit. We watched from the 4th floor window while our car was broken into, door lock broken and car ransacked all done before my husband could even get to the elevator. When we asked the police how safe the hotels parking lot was he said not any safer then this one and that one was going to cost us 25.00 per night plus tipping every time we left and returned our car. The hotel is 100 yrs old but it is nice and all but one restaurant employee was nice and very helpful. We would not stay there again just because of our experience with the theft.

Due to the size of our hotel, we do not have a secure garage where we valet park guest vehicles, but instead park them in our front drive. We are very attentive of our valet vehicles. Unfortunately even when parked in a well-lit self-parking lot, a vehicle can be a target for theft. We are sorry that you were the victim of theft. There are other self-parking garages near the hotel, but most garages will not assume liability if the car is burglarized. While auto burglary does happen in major downtown areas, we are committed to the safety of all our guests and have a security team to ensure our guests are safe during their stay.

A reasonable hotel for business stayPosted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: More of a personal touch than the big chains
Cons: the food could be improved, however that is true of all American hotels
Location: nothing the city centre is a ghost town. If there is a baseball match on worth catching that. The gateway to the west is worth looking at from afar.
Centrally located, not that there is anything to do in St Louis, cheap internet $10 and pleasant staff ideal for a short business stay, although I would recommend eating out the breakfast was a typical american one with cheap over processed food
