Absolutely no amenitiesPosted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Staff was nice. Allowed early check in. Had a TV, although we didn't really use it.
Cons: Putting a microwave or fridge or coffee pot or hairdryer in your rooms like every other hotel
Location: there are a lot of good (but expensive) restaurants in the hill, the Holiday Inn Express next door looks fantastic, stay there
No fridge, hair dryer, microwave, coffee pot, there wasn't even a pen for writing a comment on the comment card. There was a safe, and upon checkout we saw they charged us $1.50 per day for the safe. We didn't ask for a safe. You had to pay extra to have anything of the "amenities" added. This would be expected They also charged the card for the hotel before checkout. I have never had that happen at any hotel. The staff said the card had not been charged. Then the next day they had to fix it, it had been charged and have to wait a few days for it to be taken off. I knew the hotel was cheap, but I wasn't expecting it to be this bad.

Convenient location; clean, inexpensive.Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: Inexpensive, clean, friendly, quiet.
Cons: For the price, it was good. We would have enjoyed a larger room. Coffee in the room would have been nice.
Location: Forest Park: with zoo, museums and outdoor activities. "The Hill": Italian neighborhood with many Italian restaurants and businesses.
We enjoyed the proximity to Forest Park and the Hill. People at the hotel were friendly, and the room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. We would return to this hotel in the future. The room was quite small, which was fine for a couple, but might be crowded for a family with kids. Also, there was no pool.

Nice quiet roomPosted Jul 9, 2015
Pros: The prices and the staff. And it felt safe.
Cons: The guests stand out side their doors and smoke.. I wish the whole property was non smoking
Location: It was located right by the zoo and only a few miles from the arch so the location was awesome!
The staff was pleasant and very helpful. The place and the room was clean. I would stay again

Not PleasedPosted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Great water pressure in showers. A/C was good.
Bugs in one of our two rooms around baseboards and in corners. No internet. Staff acted unknowledgeable and unconcerned about the lack of internet. Stated their internet service just sucked... they were correct.

Clean, but one hitchPosted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: Staff friendly, room clean.
Cons: A little more effort in fixing WiFi...which was down our entire stay.
Location: Great restaurants nearby. Motel near two large interstates.
Our stay was pleasant...room clean, if a bit dated. Box of "goodies" in fridge a nice touch. Only hitch...WiFi was out for our entire stay and no one seemed in much of a hurry to fix it. Otherwise, a nice place to stay in.

Cigarette smell and bugs in the shower.Posted Jun 24, 2015
Not staying there ever again. People smoke outside their rooms so all the smoke goes into your room. It was impossible to rest with the constant smell of cigarettes.

Bad experience with Red Roof.Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: Really can't think of any! Cons: Bad location (far from downtown), expensive, unhelpful and unfriendly staff, unclean room, noisy A/C, no complementary breakfast, no microwave or frig (They asked for extra payment for these!).

Good for a quick stayPosted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: clean, comfortable rooms, nice staff
Cons: include a fridge in all rooms - not just premium!
Location: located a short ride from downtown, only a few minutes away from Forest Park (Zoo, Art Museum, World's Fair Pavilion), many restaurants
The check-in staff were very friendly and helped us find a cab service and local activities. The rooms were clean and newly furnished - if we had stayed more then one night we would have upgraded but for our needs (we were just passing through) this hotel was a good choice.

Great price, great location!Posted Jun 3, 2015
Pros: the upgrades
Cons: the bathroom ceiling was peeling a little, that could be fixed..
Nice room. Love the upgrades! Free Wi-Fi, Iron and Ironing Board and Iron and Hairdryer in the room...I also like the hardwood floors...and it's close to all the downtown St. Louis attractions....I would stay again!
