“only the lobby was impressive.”
received a bit of attitude at check in when I asked if there were any smoking rooms available. I was promptly told smoking could only be done outside the building. Seemed to get the cold shoulder from the help. Maybe because I did not want to pay the $28.00 valet parking fee and chose to self park for $14.00. I also carried my own bags in so I must have torked off the bell hop as he also did not speak to us. The room was clean but very small. The mirror in the bath room was too high on the wall for my 4'4" wife to see herself in. The TV was an old 25" with poor picture. For the price I was not happy. We had reservations for two nights but left after only one. Went to a Hampton for half the price and just as nice.
“Not Impressedand would never go back”
This Hotel came highly recommended by the COGIC housing . It was a mess The reservation clerk did not want to honor what was stated to me when I made the reservations with Expedia,. She had a nasty attitude and you could clearly see that she did not value her job. I had to get the Manager on duty to get the right room. Then the Bellman service was short staffed. In a convention such as this It was awful I carried my own bags to the car after waiting for a long period obf time . I would never stay at this Hotel again .
“Not Much”
Rooms as expected but had to haul our bags across the street from where we checked into the main hotel to some sort of annex. No towels or coffee in room. Not that great for the price.
“Very Nice”
Very pleased with the hotel, the room, the staff, and the entire experience. Staff was very responsive, location was excellent, and the room was very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel. I got a deal on a suite, so if you have that option go that route.
“Great Stay”
Had a nice, one night stay at this hotel
“Great hotel.”
The location was grea, right downtown. The staff was great. Room was clean.
“pleasantly surprised”
We had never stayed at this hotel even though we make regular weekend trips to St Louis. No particular reason, we usually keep with what we know. This time however, our regular hotel was full. Based on location and price, I chose the Grand. Now I have a new favorite. This is a magnificent old hotel that has been completely renovated while keeping the look of a "grand" hotel of the 30's. The staff were all friendly and eager to help. The room was a spacious suite with a comfy bed. Everything was clean and all rooms are smoke free. I'll definitely stay at the Grand the next trip to St.Louis.
“Overrated”
This hotel is listed as a 4 star facility, but the quality of service and accommodations do not meet that classification level. There was a water leak from our bathroom and the carpet was damp, thereby creating an ordor in the room. The room was small and the furniture needs to be updated. The food is quite mediocre. Beautiful lobby, but the rooms are average at best.
“Good location”
Good location in downtown St. Louis for a sightseeing trip. Bedding was great.
“Nice hotel, though a bit pricey for what you receive.”
The downtown location is great, the hotel lobby is beautiful, and the room was nice. However, the room was quite small (about half the size we expected). We would stay there again, but only if there was little else available.
