“worth the money”

We stayed two nights during the Thanks Giving week in this place. Staff were nice, giving us information about the neighborhood and travel information. There was a football match, a lot of children were talking and walking around. The AC was noisy.

“Teriffic Hotel when "Pop Warner" kids and family not in town”

Fine hotel and caring staff. Only reason I rated a four was due to fact that, during a portion of our stay, the hotel had already booked several "Pop Warner" football players and their families. Unfortunately, the children ran wild to the wee hours Friday and Saturday evening (shame on the parents)- thus making sleep very difficult those evenings. The staff tried to quell the distubance but was unable to - frankly, I believe hotel did what they could but the parents just would not cooperate. Otherwise, myself, brother and sisters had a spendid time - Kudos to the hotel --- Scott B - room 148

“Very Satisfied”

Loved the hotel. The staff was friendly and the room was nicely cleaned. However, I was disappointed we could not do a late checkout.

“Would definitely stay here again”

The hotel was great, rooms are modern and bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. The only dislike we had was that the room didnt have a refrigerator.

This hotel is in westport which has a lot of things to do - restaurants, bars, comedy club....really fun area and central to other St Louis attractions also.

“Just ok nothing to write to mom about.”

I am not sure I would tell anyone to stay there but if they were single or a couple and their flight left in between 9am and arrived no later then 6pm then they should stay there. Not a good place for families. I think. Nothing around it but Industries. It did have places to eat but after a certain time they are all bars. They updated and those are nice but you can tell that the hotel is very old.

St. Charles is really nice. Love it over there. Not sure where else.

“Will not return”

Old hotel, was guranteed a king ( even paid extra for it and it was not available). We left one day early and was still charged for the day that we didnt use. Not happy at all.

“Average”

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean. I asked for a room away from vending and with a balcony and was able to get what I wanted. Down side is that air condition was extremely loud and blew air directly towards the headboard on one of the 2 double beds. The screen to the balcony was broken and the glass door to the balcony was stiff and did not move smoothly. The soda machine was "sold out" during the 3 days we were there. The bathroom was a bit small and the sink was too high for my 4 year old (at 43" tall) to turn off an on the water by himself. Also, outside door to the 2nd floor facing the parking lot did not lock during the hours it said it would close with access only via the hotel key card. The hotel could use some updating and maintenance, the location is great. 30 minutes from Six Flags, 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis, 15 minutes from the transportation museum. The staff is fantastic and extremely accomodating.

Area recommendations

Eureka / Six Flags is a great place if traveling for children. Soulard is wonderful for couples and night life or lunch during the day/early evening with children. Union Station has a mini train museum and nice restaurant, Landry's on the pond where kids can feed the fish in the lake.
