Quiet "home-away-from-home"

Posted Feb 9, 2015
Pros: The bed was super comfortable. We were able to have our daughter sleep in the bedroom while we hung out in the living room. Great layout.
Cons: Better couch for the living room. Otherwise this place was fantastic.
Location: We mainly chose the location as it was close to our relatives. Not sure there was much else to do directly around the area.
This was more like a 1 bedroom apartment than a regular hotel room. The kitchen was well equiped and the living room was separated from the bedroom by double doors. The entire facility was wonderful. The bed was the most comfortable sleep I've ever had in a hotel. This hotel seemed completely designed for business travelers for extended stays, but it also worked really well for a small family. The bedroom/living room can be separated by double doors.

Great experience. Staff was wonderful and the newly renovated rooms were some of the nicest I've ever stayed in. I plan to return again and again each time i visit St. Louis .

Beautiful place, even with the construction

Posted Jan 20, 2015
The hotel is under construction right now, but even so it's a very nice place to stay. The rooms are very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. There's shampoo conditioner and body wash supplied in the shower in a dispenser. There was plenty of space for me, my husband and our 3 kids to spread out in our 2 room suite. With the construction there is no continental breakfast but they do have grab and go snacks and breakfast pastries and hot coffee in their office. The decor in the rooms is modern and fresh looking. Even with the construction, the grounds are very well kept and I look forward to seeing what it looks like when it's finished. I would definitely stay here again.

Great alternative to a suite for 4 people

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Freshly remodeled. Cheery colors and furnishings.
Location: Easy access to main roads. We were visiting relatives so spent all our time with them.
All was great except our bathroom. There was hair on the floor behind the door and a towel hanging on the door hook.

under major construction

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: location is pretty good; rooms are nice (if things work)
Cons: see my overall comments...once the construction is done (summer 2015) and once they replace the front desk staff, it might be OK. But I won't return.
I have stayed at a number of hotels in this chain, and have otherwise had great experiences. But this one I would advise anyone to steer clear of. It is going through a major renovation, and there is construction equipment everywhere. The check in is in a converted guest room (doubles as the alleged "breakfast" room) with almost invisible signage as to where to check in. The door is locked after 8pm (I arrived at 8:30p). There is a box on the wall outside which contains a phone (not that you can see it, and not that it is marked in any way to be able to know that is what it is in the dark). I only knew it was a phone because I knocked on the door and eventually an indignant reception employee answered...quite annoyed that I was there for a "late" check in. There is no normal/full breakfast, though advertised as such. They utilize the check in room in the morning to put out a couple single serve cereal boxes and packaged muffins & coffee/juice that you can take back to your room. Really awful quality/lame effort. My keys had to be redone 3 times as they would not work. My first morning, I had not hot water...told the front desk that when I left that day, only to return that night to find nobody fixed it. I cam back in the evening of my second day to find that issue still unattended, and then also NO HEAT in the room. They eventually allowed me to switch rooms (meaning I had to pack up and then unpack again) rather than work to fix the problem. (no more space)

Unexpected 2nd bath in suite!

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: A lot of room in our suite. The 2nd bath was a plus for getting ready in time for our events! And this hotel accepts larger dogs.
Location: Convenient area off 270, although lots of turns to find hotel. We were there for a family event but you can get anywhere in St. L. from 270.
Hotel is under major renovation, but our room was one that was done. It was very roomy and had everything we needed. When we checked in, we were told our room had a bath for each bedroom, that was a pleasant surprise! We brought our med/lg dog, who is blind, along on the trip. I was pleased that our room was so spacious, that makes it much easier for our blind dog to move around the room with bumping into everything!

We Will Definitely Be Back

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Professionalism of staff, the large clean rooms with kitchen.
This was perfect for our family. Spacious, clean rooms, helpful staff and reasonable rates. We have four children (three of them teenagers), and this worked out great for us. We did not use the kitchen this time, but we will in the future. Can't wait to come back. Great location with nearby grocery stores, restaurants, easy access to highways. Loved it!
