I stayed for three nights never had maid service. Had to go to desk for linens which they seemed to be short on even though the hotel was not busy. It’s a great location if you are having medical appointments though!

There are also 6 blocks of restaurants and shops walking distance and the attractions are 4 miles or less away from the DoubleTree Forest Park Hotel. Very convenient to Barnes Hospital. We have stayed there numerous times and there never seems to he enough staff at the front desk to help. One person at the counter while there may be 1or 2 people in the office that do not come out to help when needed.

Out of all the Double Trees I've stayed at this one was average to good, but not excellent. The covered, secure, parking was nice, but the garage is not connected to the hotel, so you have to walk the garage back out to the front of the hotel. That was fine for most, but if you are disabled, that would be difficult based on the steepness of the garage. Additionally, this means, you need to unload/load your bags at the drop off zone, unless you want to haul them into the garage as it's not conducive to use a cart in the garage. There's not even a good staircase to use from the garage; you, literally, have to walk all the way back down and there is limited disabled parking or lower level parking. The garage is, actually, tight, too, so if you have an oversized vehicle, it will be difficult to maneuver. The front desk, cleaning crew and other staff were friendly and the attached Applebee's is nice if you don't want to venture out for dinner (that IS accessible from ground level and there is a door from the hotel to the restaurant). Other than that, the rooms are a bit loud because, while there are independent thermostats in each room, a fan blows, constantly, throughout the night and you can't shut it off (I asked). I'm not sure if this is all rooms, or just my room/floor, but if you want quiet, this fan will bother you, more than likely. The black out curtains were nice and the TV is large (around 50").

It's fine but I probably wouldn't stay there again through Expedia. They put the 3rd party bookings in the rooms next to the parking garage. We had a fine view of gray concrete and no natural light. Lots of noise from vehicles coming and going late at night. The bed was too soft. Couch was broken. We had A/C & toilet issues that were fixed promptly. Plenty of food options and Forest Park within one block though. Breakfast buffet price was reasonable if you decide not to go out.

They have had construction going on for months, which is annoying but I guess doesn’t affect things that much. The hotel itself is always lovely and the staff is always friendly.

When our staff is alerted to this, our security does let the guest know they will be charged 250 (which is listed on the registration card at check in. Hotel was nice and convent. They gave me two warm cookies when I checked in. (Burnt to a crisp, you couldn’t eat them). The room is attached to a parking garage- h window looks into said garage. It is noisy. Guests are very loud. But this is not the hotels fault. Room was nice- mattress is a bit hard.

The staff is very friendly and take really good care of the hotel, The cleaning crew does and excellent job. I was staying while my Father was at Barnes hospital and the hotel is so convenient and can be access through the skywalks which was so helpful for early/late times.

To enter the garage, guests need to check in first and our desk staff member will provide a key that opens the garage gate.
