Positive:
Breakfast is excellent, best on the island so far!
Beautiful gardens.
The dining area has a very cool view of petit Peton. (A must hike for the adventurous!)
Massage was brilliant ($140 for 50 mins)
Negatives:
The room is open, no repellent or coils are provided and the mosquito netting has so many holes in it, so got shredded.
The bed and pillows were really hard and uncomfortable. Worst nights sleep in months.
Half the staff were lovely and genuine and the other have gave us the vibes of a snooty LA restaurant, where you’re inconveniencing them.
Pool area was such a disappointment, honesty bar which you have to serve yourself a mini Heineken for the $8 privilege and a freezing cold pool my wife couldn’t compel herself to go in. (She’s not a wuss either!)
Summary:
Cool vibes, decent breakfast with a great view of the piton. Otherwise, really budget and absolute rip off for $600 per night. Spend a bit more and get twice the experience at Ladera.
Sugar beach is amazing and super comfortable but very Americanised, so each to their own.
I defo wouldn’t go back, at even half the price. However if you’re into the ‘cool vibes’ and want a shot for the gram and willing to have shirty service and an uncomfortable nights sleep and don’t want to pay a bit more, then this might be for you!
