Nice all inclusive resort butPosted Aug 8, 2013
Pros: the hotel was very clean, staff was always available to assist you very relaxing atmosphere
Cons: families with small children seemed to like the childrens water park area
very nice all inclusive resort pools were great, lazy river had no power behind it. ( it was like floating in your back yard pool if you wanted to move you were on your own speed.) plenty of beach chairs limited umbrellas for shade. the beach was the biggest disappointment. I was told there was a little sea grass. the beach and first couple of feet in was full of it. the sand was raked by machine at least 2x a day.. also horses walking on the beach was a negative the ala carte restaurants were definitrly worth the effort to make reservations too bad they weren't available for lunch too breakfast buffet was the best offering at the buffet

Pleasant Surprise!Posted Jul 30, 2013
Pros: lived up to my expectations of an all-inclusive resort, definitely comparable to the more well-known brands.
Cons: Line-staff could be friendlier and warmer, seems to be a cultural thing though.
Location: Airport is close. Nearest town is not a tourist spot but a good place to see how the locals live.
Had a bad experience at Smugglers up in Castries. I woke up on my last day and used the communal wi-fi service to reserve a room at Coconut Bay. Best thing I ever did, and I was sorry I didnt think of it sooner. This property is close to the airport but far from the resort area and so that is why I overlooked it. Rooms were awesome, modern and clean. Food was good, even at the buffet, Drinks were awesome, Wi-fi in rooms ($$), comfy beds, amenities are within close proximity of each other and not spread out over acres! Only thing I wished went differently was that I saw a golf cart parked up in front, asked the bellman if he could take me to my car, as the parking lot was a far walk. He told me that I would have to walk as that golf cart belongs to the General Manager. One of my pet peeves in the hotel setting is when staff refers to Management as this mythical creature whom you will never see but will gobble you up if you do something wrong. Give me a break. If he doesn't like guests using his golf cart. He should park it out of sight. I just smiled it off. Based on everything else, I would return and recommend to others.

Great for KidsPosted Jun 22, 2013
Pros: Location to airport, water park, relaxing environment, plenty of chairs and plenty of room at the bars. Entertainment was nice.
Cons: More organization at the front desk, and have the rooms ready when guests arrive. Serve the biscuits and gravy more often at breakfast.
If you know what to expect, it is a great resort. it's not the George V, but it's a nice, clean yet somewhat dated resort. Don't expect fancy flair. Food was surprisingly good, certainly better than I expected. Drinks were awesome. My kids (7 and 9) loved going to the swim-up bar and ordering fancy kids drinks. They loved the lazy river and the water slides (as did I.) The kids club (day care) was really well done, and there were activities day and night for the little ones. Not sure I would go if I was a couple without kids, but I didn't spend any time on the adults-only side which I heard was fun. If you have kids, want to relax, it's a great resort. If you want to swim in the ocean or sea, it is not the best choice as the beaches are small and there is lots of seaweed. If you want activities outside of the resort, it's not a good choice (better to bite the bullet and head across the island to the bigger towns.) Overall, we loved it. Great value, too, relative to other resorts/options.

Great place for a short vacation. The beach could have been a little better, too much sea weeds. The staff is very friendly. The surroundings are very clean and well managed. Will visit again.
