An amazing experience!Posted May 28, 2013
Pros: Everything was WOW!
Cons: Not a thing.
Location: Ladera was our choice of things to do...relax.
From the moment we opened our door to our two bedroom suite and first viewed the Caribbean Ocean and the Pitons, we were amazed. For four days our experience exceeded our expectations. After reading all the reviews of Ladera, we had high expectations for our long weekend. We were not disappointed. But the views were not the only WOW moments at Ladera. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The owner took time to mingle with the Guests making us all feel welcome. The food at Dasheen was excellent....no need to go anywhere else while we stayed. Yes...one night we tried Boucan across the street. While it was ok...Dasheen's menu and quality exceeded our experience at Boucan. Every day of our visit was a WOW experience. While we visited Sugar Beach one afternoon, we chose to hangout at Ladera and don't regret at all not seeing more of St. Lucia. We believe Ladera was the best of St. Lucia.

Beautiful, relaxing.Posted May 7, 2013
A beautiful and romantic experience overlooking the Pitons. The service was great and they were attentive. I loved the spa treatments. The hilltop dream suite was amazing with the private plunge pool and swing.

Great for relaxing.Posted Nov 30, 2012
Pros: The plunge pool was refreshing and open wall to the ocean was breathtaking.
Cons: 3 days were needed for the gluten free food.
Location: High on the mountains with view to the setting sun.
The hotel and staff were wonderful. My only problem was that despite being advised ahead of time of my gluten free status, they had trouble providing gluten free food. The view was spectacular, the room was wonderful, the staff was great. We had an opportunity to talk with the manager and owner's representative and found them both very approachable. We had made arranges for transport to the hotel from the airport and were charged US $20 more than was quoted.

Great for honeymooners or anniversariesPosted Aug 9, 2012
Pros: The open air, exclusion from the outside world (no tv's, phones, etc). Very romantic and gorgeous views.
Cons: We did not have a heated plunge pool, so it was a little chilly.
Location: Located in the Pitons and has a view of the Gros and Petit Pitons that is breath taking.
This is a very romanitc experience. Every room has a plunge pool. However, you must love outdoors and keep in mind the "open air" atmosphere. So you will get a lizard or gecko that will hang out with you at times, but nothing that will harm you. There are no snakes in the area. But the view from the rooms is amazing and the staff will take all of your worries and cares away.

ParadisePosted Apr 26, 2012
Pros: The view, the staff
Cons: Nothing bad to say
Location: Fantastic location - not too far from airport, close to beach, Hotel Chocolat (amazing chocolate drinks and food), mud baths and other attractions.
Stunning. I had read dozens of reviews about this hotel but none prepared me for the experience. This hotel is amazing - the staff are very friendly, the service is impeccable, the gardens are beautiful but most importantly the view from your hotel room, from the pool, from just about anywhere is breathtaking. Our room was amazing - we were upgraded to a stunning three bedroom suite. It had a plunge pool inside and out. Two beautiful four poster beds in separate rooms and a third smaller bed on 3rd floor. The open air concept was the first time I have stayed in a hotel without a wall but the weather is perfect for this - not too hot, not too cold. The view from our terraces of the Pitons was something you could stare at all day and watch the amazing stars at night. Everything in the room was custom made from the flower pots to the tables. From the welcome drinks our first night there, meeting the chef, the manager and the other guests, its really hard to find a better piece of paradise.

Eva's Birthday Present!Posted Mar 7, 2012
Absolutely wonderful. Stayed in a Gros Piton Suite and the room in itself is a vacation. If I had to search for a complaint it would be that the hot tub or "Black Water Pool" as it was called was simply not "Hot" but luke warm at best and the one ugly American who chose to use the water pistol to shoot at a beautiful humming bird. I put a stop to that. I will not stay at another tropical resort with 4 walls, the open concept is breath taking. We slept like babies. Loved it, Loved it, Loved it. Maria and the rest of the staff could not do enough for you, but you must ask questions and seek information, they are a bidt reluctant to offer without your requesting. Try to get Mike the driver when you want a car ride any where, a true gentleman. Chastnay black sand beach with a half mile walk to it's secluded northern end with a gourmet charbroil chef is the way to go. Dashnee restaurant at the resort is a bit pricey. Wonderful, give it a go!
