“Paradise”

Stunning. I had read dozens of reviews about this hotel but none prepared me for the experience. This hotel is amazing - the staff are very friendly, the service is impeccable, the gardens are beautiful but most importantly the view from your hotel room, from the pool, from just about anywhere is breathtaking. Our room was amazing - we were upgraded to a stunning three bedroom suite. It had a plunge pool inside and out. Two beautiful four poster beds in separate rooms and a third smaller bed on 3rd floor. The open air concept was the first time I have stayed in a hotel without a wall but the weather is perfect for this - not too hot, not too cold. The view from our terraces of the Pitons was something you could stare at all day and watch the amazing stars at night. Everything in the room was custom made from the flower pots to the tables. From the welcome drinks our first night there, meeting the chef, the manager and the other guests, its really hard to find a better piece of paradise.

“Spectacular Stay!”

Ladera is beautiful & unique hotel in a spectacular setting. The best thing about Ladera is the staff (and there are a lot of them!) - each friendly, always smiling and eager to make your stay wonderful. Our room was a Hilltop Dream Suite - a three walled room, looking out onto the ocean and our private pool, and set between the Pitons. Although we heard that the mosquitoes were a problem, we encountered none. Sometimes small birds came looking for breakfast if we ate in our room- but, we actually find that charming and as long as we covered our food when we were done, we had no problems. The food at Dasheene was excellent and chef Nigel does a great job preparing uniquely "St. Lucian Cuisine" using local ingredients. The cocktails were also delicious! If you are looking for a romantic setting - Ladera is wonderful. On the other hand, if you are looking for a beach hotel and lots of action, this is not the place for you. Ladera does offer excursions to the "attractions" in Soufrière and an hourly shuttle to the , but when you come back to the hotel, you will find that relaxation (at the pool, spa or in your suite) and good food & drink is what available. In addition, if you can not handle a lot of stairs, staying a hotel in the mountains, may not be for you.

This resort is far above and beyond anything that the website or pictures can do justice to. The rooms will blow you away with their beauty and their closness to nature. The scenery was breathtaking. The staff was superb. I would recommend this resort to anyone, anywhere. If you are looking for the most beautiful location for a vaca that you can imagine while enjoying the finest food and treatment that you have ever experienced, Ladera is the place for you!

“Just like I imagined!”

My now husband and I decided to stay at The Ladera for the 2nd half of our St. Lucia honeymoon. We were absolutely amazed by the beautiful view of the Pitons in our hilltop dream suite. The pool was big and we loved having complete privacy. The only downside of the resort is the location, in that it is far from many restaurants. If you do not want to eat at the resorts restaurant, Dasheene (which was delicious), your options are very limited. Taxi rides are quite expensive so expect to pay around $50 roundtrip to get to a restaurant 15 minutes away. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are just as pictured on the website. The complimentary breakfast is a nice touch as they offers a nice variety Don't miss the Sunday brunch at Dashene, it's worth every single penny!

“Loved Ladera”

Ladera was truly an experience - an open air room is the way to go when you have a breeze like that in the jungle! Amazing views of the Pitons. Great staff - made you feel comfortable and special. Would def return. Very romantic. No kids, and wouldn't be safe for kids either (or really, really drunk guests).

“Simply Amazing”

The views are spectacular, the food is amazing, the staff is incredible and the suites are out-of-this-world. Even the "standard" suite far exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be returning to Ladera.

“Honeymoon in Paradise”

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Ladera on our Honeymoon - it was a beautiful hotel with a unique view of paradise. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the food was amazing! We couldn't have picked a better place to start of our honeymoon. The resort is private and quiet, perfect for relaxing. And we liked the fact that there weren't any kids staying there. The open air rooms take a little getting used to for sleeping - the frogs and wildlife can be a bit noisy at night. But no real problems with bugs -which we were worried about. We can't wait to go back!
