Beach and watersports persons dreamPosted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: All inclusive
Location: Many tours available from Hotel but these are pricey.
Good hotel but our room was noisy with evening entertainment from 9pm to 11pm every night. Food was good, friendly and helpful staff. Great hotel if you are a beach lover/ watersports person.

Solid resort with some things to improve onPosted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: Food was very good, bars and pools were located throughout the resort, the spa was terrific and i highly recommend the couples massage
Cons: Check-in process, waiting staff at some of the restaurants could have been better. Many times we were waiting for water or other drinks.
Location: Resort is in northern part of the island so when you land the ride from the airport is over an hour.
My wife and I just returned from St James's Morgan Bay Resort for our Honeymoon and we had a great time overall. Check-in was underwhelming. I was expecting to arrive and have drinks brought to us (like in the movies) but sadly we were bombarded by paperwork and information. The staff sat us down, didn't even tell us where to leave our luggage and told us to fill out a couple pages of questions, billing information etc. After brushing off the stressful check-in process the staff loaded up our bags in a golf cart and took us to where our room was located. We weren't pleased when they lost one of our neck pillows that we had just bought at the airport for the flight to St. Lucia. The staff member backtracked in the golf cart and found where it fell off. Once in the room, we saw that it was very neat and clean with great tiled floors and great lighting. However, the view from the balcony was of a GIANT palm tree. I had paid a good deal extra, despite many second thoughts, and I quickly realized what a mistake i had made. I picked up the phone immediately and complained that i had paid extra for a beach/ocean view and Guest Services said there was no availability anywhere else on the resort until Wednesday (we checked-in on a Monday). Wednesday came around and you guessed it, nothing until Friday. Friday we were finally put into a great room with a great view. It took them 4 days to fix the problem but at least we had the 2nd half of our honeymoon to enjoy what i paid for.

Just okay.Posted Jul 9, 2015
Nothing was great. It was just okay. Hotel was outdated. Food was okay at best. Beach area was small. We were looking for a wow factor and did not get it here!

Nice hotelPosted Jul 9, 2015
St. Lucia is a beautiful island and we are glad we got to experience it. This hotel was okay, everything was clean and organized and there was always something on the menu that I could eat (I'm a very picky eater!) With that said there are a couple of things I'd like to point out for future reference: A) this hotel is an hour and a half away from the airport. Most nice hotels are on the north side like this hotel so the journey from the airport is a must ...but it is a long ride up and down the mountainside. Even I was getting a bit nauseous. Hotel transfers were $100 a person! B) After about 9:30/10:00PM EVERYTHING closes...so there's no where to get food. The day we arrived (after our long journey) we decided to take a nap and overslept and woke up at 9:30PM ...only to be told that everything was closed and we would have to wait until the next day to eat breakfast. Not something I wanted to hear on my first day of vaca...I was so hungry! C) we like to go on excursions while on vacation-St Lucia does not have a lot to offer HOWEVER we went on two different catamarans and they were fun D) we are a young couple, but this place seemed more like an older couples resort-very quiet and very spread out (you can call for a golf cart ride at any time!) E) free wifi in two areas Other than that, I believe you get what you pay for. Drinks are okay...food is ok...service is ok...Would rate 3/5 only because everywhere else I've stayed has been tons better In comparison

An excellent choice if staying in St LuciaPosted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: The staff make this hotel, they are truly amazing and genuinely happy to see you and assist in any way they can
Cons: Bottled beer in places where suitable.
Location: The location is excellent, great spot on the coast and ready access to local buses if you fancy taking a wee trip.
St James's Club hotel is ideally located as in its right on the main road with easy access to local buses and transport if you fancy touring around. The accommodation is very nice with very efficient air con. Maintained and cleaned to a high standard. Food and accommodation was 4 * for sure, alcohol was probably 3 *, I say this because you cant get bottled beer and the spirits I never recognised any of the brands. That said it was served with a friendly nod or smile, I have to say what makes this hotel worth staying at is the staff. They are truly amazing, very very friendly always smiling always happy and genuinely there to help and assist you. It has the feel of a well run family hotel with everyone happy at their work. The water sports are excellent and free to use with willing staff there to train and assist you. Beach area and restaurants are very nice and all in all its hard to find fault I was delighted overall with my stay. I would recommend the horse riding half day at $65 US it is excellent value and for sure our best day was the sea and land cruise / trip with JOY cruises who are situated on the beach next to the water sports. It's $90 US and is a tremendous day out and exceptional value for money. I can thoroughly recommend it.

Good value all-inclusive right on the beach.Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, good food and drinks. Great location and beach. Fun water sports included. They taught my wife and I to use a Hobie Cat.
Cons: Hotel rooms could use some updating.
Location: The more excursions you do, the better your trip. Land & Sea excursion is a must. Would recommend Whale/Dolphin Watching and Lovers Rock Cruise.
Very good value for an all-inclusive. There isn't a single straight road in St. Lucia, so expect a twisty and hilly trip from the airport to the resort. If you take a taxi or a personal driver, then there are opportunities to stop and take photos and try some local/creole bread--it's delicious. The resort buildings and grounds are nice. There isn't a huge "wow" factor that you would get from the more expensive all-inclusives, but I didn't miss that. My wife and I stayed in a beachside one king bed room on the second floor. We had adequate space. Room amenities were fine. We had a great view of the ocean and resort grounds. The buffets and restaurants are good. There was a nice variety for lunch and dinner. The upscale restaurant, Le Jardin, is worth the extra charge. Best meal of the vacation. If you're looking to eat a lot, drink a lot, and lounge pool or ocean side, then this place has all you need. The excursions are were my wife and I had the most memories. I would highly recommend the Land & Sea, which takes you to the Pitons and the Volcano / Sulfur Springs. You get the option of seeing the volcano or taking a mud bath in the sulfur springs. Pick the mud bath. It's fun and the volcano tour doesn't show you too much that you can't see from the sulfur springs. The whale watching tour was good too. We saw a lot of small pilot whales and a lot of flying fish. The Lover's Rock sunset cruise was a great way to end the vacation.
