Excellent water sports programPosted Nov 24, 2013
Pros: Water sports
Cons: Jet skies in the swimming area did not seem safe and stirred up too much of the water.
Location: We spent all of our time at the resort.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, we were happy with all of the meals and bars and especially happy with the kayaking, sailing, paddle boards, and water skiing opportunities. It was great that all the sports and classes to use them were included. We would have preferred better snorkeling conditions and calmer water but the beach is what it is. There are better beaches to snorkel. We toured them before we got to the all inclusive and spent 4 delightful days taking advantage of all they had to offer. We had a great vacation.

Excellent resort!Posted Nov 23, 2013
Resort is smaller than I had originally thought but it's actually the perfect size. We had the ocean view which is great because it comes with a private balcony that faces the beach, ocean, and pool. Food was great. Only gripe was that Morgan Pier was under renovation during my stay so the restaurant was closed. All in all I would come back!

Beautiful stay at a lovely placePosted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: Loved the pools especially the one on the top of the hill. The sunset view was perfect up there.
Cons: Drinks...were a bit light, did not get a buzz with all the drinks I had. Some workers need to be a bit friendlier.
Location: Great location. We rented a car and drove all over the place. It was cheaper than those excursions they offer.
Loved our stay at St. James. We loved the cleaniness of our rooms, the Morgan Pier restaurant and the beautiful scenery. It was relaxing just what my husband and I needed.

Fabulous Resort!Posted Oct 12, 2013
Pros: Staff, food, drinks, grounds, beach and pool
Cons: We wished they served Sauvigion Blanc - our favorite wine!
Location: It's about and hour and a half from the airport but we found the drive very relaxing plus our driver gave us lots of historical information.
"All Inclusive" vacations don't have much appeal but this one is a 5 star! The resort is beautiful, staff unbelieveable, food delicious, drinks wonderful, and beach and pool were terrific! We were a bit surprised that the water wasn't the usual "aqua" color. Apparently, there were horrific mudslides during a fairly recent hurricane which caused the color change ... to be restored in time. We took a catamaran excursion to Sofriere (sp?) which was a blast ... snorkeling, food, dancing and we got to taste coconut water (with rum) for the first time .... delicious! There was an issue with the hairdryer initialy but it was quickly resolved. This hotel comes highly recommended and we can't wait to visit again!

Vacation at St. James Morgan BayPosted Oct 2, 2013
Cons: Bathing area, introduce a true beachfront area for the rooms, introduce a digital vault along with a stocked up refrigerator daily even if it is only
Location: sightseeing, and ziplining.
Both my wife and myself wanted a quiet stay in an All Inclusive Resort in the Caribeean. Our choice was St. James Morgan Bay. At checkin there was a 25 minute wait, which was normal since others were ahead of us in line. The trip from the airport was short, a mere 10 mins at maximum. We were given an elite suite overlooking the sea, which was fantastic. Food was OK, where I will rate it a 6 out of 10. Some drawbacks of the resort are: the sea waters were not really blue as other resorts in St. Lucia, there are no really beachfront rooms as advertised on Expedia what you really have are seafront rooms, since you cannot bathe in those areas, the sea shore area is not an expansive area, rather small when compared to other resorts. Also, the vaults in the rooms carry a padlock, they are not digital, no newspapers in the lobby and last there was an empty refrigerator in the room. Some pros of the resort are: cleanliness, friendly staff, close proximity to the airport, ok drinks, kayaks and sailboats were available when required. It was an Ok vacation but certainly not the best.

Rocking time..Posted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: Clean and well maintained grounds
Cons: Nothing that comes to mind
Location: Went to the Friday Night street Jam in the Gros Islet.. Very cool local experiance.. Food booths, music and dancing in the street. 15 min cab ride.
The staff, the staff, the staff... Everybody was super friendly.. From Choclate who manned the beach bar, to the Marlon pool side to Johnny & Stewert at the beach rental shack. The service was excellant. The resort was well maintained and clean. The room was very comfortable and a good size. We ate at every resaurant on site and found a nice variety of food that was presented well in a clean environment. All water sport activities were included in our stay.. Kayaks, paddle boards, peddle boats, great little sailing Catamarans, banana boat, even water sking. Only down side, was lack of snorkling.. Not due the resort, St Lucia's island structure not condusive to swallow reefs. Great excursions "Tranopy" with included a gondola ride through the tropical canopy, zip lining, & hiking. This was an extra expense, but well worth it..

Awesome all inclusivePosted Aug 8, 2013
Pros: Service, staff, water sports, food ,drinks, pools, holiday atmosphere , cleanliness, presence of security
Cons: The flow on the shower could be increased.
Location: Hotel is 1.5hr from Hewanorra airport and 15 mins past Castries. Check out Duty free the one further away from the market
My wife and I and the St. James's club was THE ideal getaway. Service was exceptional from arrival to departure. The employees were courteous and always willing to be of assistance. On arrival we got a complimentary rum punch after 1.5hr journey from hewannora to the hotel. Check in was quick and easy, we were shuttled to our ocean front room. The room was very clean and welcoming. King-size bed was just what we needed although the mattress was alittle too soft for our liking. Daily room cleaning was a norm. Anything more would be provided upon your request. There are four restaurants on the compound. The le jardin required dress code and small fee to dine( well worth it). the bamboo, morgan pier and the palms were free. The food served was rather appetizing with a wide variety to choose from. The restaurants were always clean and ready to serve. The bars were available throughout the day till11pm. Bartenders were always ready to mix you a drink and even surprise you with something special. You could never be bored at this hotel. The hotel has it own beachfront and four pools. Our favorite was the swim up bar. Lots of water activities to choose from sailing, banana boat rides, kayaking, water skiing etc. There is also jet skiing available from outsiders for a fee. Table tennis, lawn tennis and pool is also available. There was nightly entertainment which was great

Nice hotelPosted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: The people were friendly and helpful. The drinks were nice too.
Cons: The entertainment/ shows. The form to fill out on arrival is a lengthy. Maybe an online form would have been faster.
Location: Rodney bay is a must. Soufrere Mountain and Waterfall, is a very long windy drive but nice to see.
We were greeted by a smile and a lovely rumpunch, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was more or less comfortable. We liked the entertainment at night was ok- there was only singing not much shows or cultural presentations as other countries I have visited. The beach at the hotel was not very clear. We had to travel to Rodney Bay to get that clear water and white sand. Taxi and tours were quite expensive I found.

Lacks EntertainmentPosted Jul 10, 2013
Cons: No daily entertainment other than watersports. Nightly entertainment did not start until 9pm and there wasn't much most nights.
Hotel was good but there was not much to do so we ended up spending more money on tour so we were not bored all the time. Some staff were great, others were not very friendly.
