Small and intimatePosted Jun 9, 2013
Pros: Small intimate setting. Walking distance to everything.
Cons: It is showing some wear. The breakfast was not good quality and the service of it was slow.
Location: Reduit beach is just across the street and there are lots of restaurants, and shops a short walk away.
Ginger Lily is a small and cozy hotel. The location is perfect for access to the beach, restaurants and nightlife. The hotel is small, clean and comfortable. The main drawback is the breakfast: it's just not worth it.

Good infrastructure but poor servicePosted Apr 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Lovely, spacious rooms but no smiles or flexibility from the staff. Minimum breakfast and although rates are posted at reception, no money exchange.

Great small hotel, superbly locatedPosted Mar 16, 2013
Pros: Only 11 rooms so very quiet
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing
Location: Great location opposite beach and close to bars/restaurants and shops
We stayed for a week at the Gingerlily having spent the previous week in the South of the island. The Gingerlily is superbly located, directly opposite access to Reduit Beach (beware the days when the Cruiseships come in, it is incredibly busy and no space between sunbeds) and a short walking distance to a great selection of bars/restaurants and shops. There are only 11 rooms at the hotel so it is very quiet and more often than not you are the only people around the pool. We had an Upper Deluxe Room which was very spacious, huge bed, sofa and balcony overlooking the pool. It also had a fridge so useful for keeping water (and wine!) cool. The bathroom was very big as well and lots of storage for everything. We really appreciated the air conditioning and ceiling fans as well. To be honest the breakfast was disappointing, the continental (included in our room rate) consisted of juice (not fresh), yoghurt and some toast with jam/butter. If you had to pay separately I would not bother as there are loads of other restaurants around. The hotel also didn't seem to be too well equipped regarding drinks as they ran out of orange juice after our second day and also sparkling water and local piton beer. Fortunately there is a large supermarket so it is probably better to stock up there. Overall a great small hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Great location near the beachPosted Feb 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was comfortable, safe and clean. Not many services and the personnel seemed to be quite new in their profession, but otherwise everything was ok. The location was great near the beach and all the relevant restaurants were near around. We were really happy for our stay, and we don't expect too much from services, other than great security and cleanliness/cozyness of the room. I would return to this hotel also next time!

Happy holidayPosted Feb 27, 2013
Location: Location excellent as beach was just across the road and lots of restaurants nearby.
We had a lovely relaxing holiday at Ginger Lily which was a peaceful and quiet oasis. The staff were very helpful and kind and we had the services of a taxi driver who took us on a trip round the top of the island, stopping wherever we wanted for photo opportunities. Organized trips were booked for us through the manageress of the hotel very efficiently. Would definitely go back there again.

Pros: Staff & that hotel was across the road from the beach.
We had a lovely holiday at the 'Ginger Lilly' Hotel. It's a lovely family run business and the staff were always very helpful. We would definitely return.

DisappointedPosted Jan 7, 2013
Pros: close to the beach and authentic Carribean atmosphere
Cons: smell in the room and noise during the night
Upon arrival we were sent to room 10. The room had a musty stench, the fan above the bed was not working and it was hot. When I asked the lady working at the front desk about the air conditioner she turned it on with a remote control and left. We tried to increase the A/C but accidentally turned it off. We then went back to her to show us how to operate it. Overall we found the young girls working at the front to be less than enthusiastic to be there- just a feeling we got- and not very welcoming. Trying to find a good night's sleep was a challenge. Besides the bands playing outside the frogs or birds outside were VERY loud and kept us up all night. When we asked the attendant if she heard the racket outside during the night she surprisingly said no. One of our kids couldn't sleep and complained he was thirsty. We asked if we could buy a bottle of water and she said they didn't have any water and suggested we walk down the street to a mall to see if any stores were open. I started walking down the street but despite a Police Station across the street felt unsafe due to the street being poorly lit and turned back to the hotel. My son still complained about being thirsty so I went to look for the desk clerk again and found her behind the bar with a bunch of young friends who were having drinks. I asked if there was anything my kids could drink and she offered me ginger ale to purchase.

Clean and quietPosted Jan 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
A short walk to Rodney Bay shopping and right across the street from Spinnakers (where their stunning cocktails are 2 for 1 at happy hour), the Ginger Lily is a quiet oasis that makes it a perfect spot to start a holiday. The large room is perfect for repacking before a long sail. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and there is plenty of counter space around the sink to spread out toiletries, etc. Shower gel and lotion are provided in dispensers. Although the pool was small, it looked cool and inviting - as did the hammock on my patio. The front desk staff was friendly in a laid-back sort of way and helpful with directions, storing luggage, and hailing cabs.

Pros: Location and room
