Nice small, quiet hotel close to beachPosted Aug 8, 2013
Pros: Small, quiet, relaxing, great for families as rooms are available with kitchenettes
Cons: A double room (2 bedrooms) with kitchenette and a hammock in the porch area for all the rooms.
Location: The duty free mall is within walking distance as are many other eating places/restaurants. Pigeon Island is just a taxi away (5-10 mins ride)
This hotel was ideal as it was small and the areas outside your room was quiet and relaxing. The rooms were very clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The fact that you cross the road and you are on the Renduit beach was ideal. Should you get hungry, there is Spinnakers on the beach. It was within walking distance to the duty free mall and many other eating places. The pool was ideal for my young daughter when she wasn't at the beach.

Perfect location...in the heart of things...Posted Aug 5, 2013
Pros: The room was spacious even for a family of three adults.
Cons: Maybe the location of the coconut tree over the pool. The size of AC to match the room.
Location: Food places, supermarkets, banks, beaches, pubs almost every thing needed.
Pleasurable...the atmosphere within and around the hotel was peaceful even though located in prime tourists area. Walking distance to everything.

Intimate, Beautiful alternative to All-InclusivePosted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: Small, only 11 rooms. Nice staff, beautiful pool. BEAUTIFUL flora!! HUUUUUGE shower! You could fit 15 people in it! NO JOKE!! Balcony hammock :)
Cons: Breakfast--they could easily add local fruit each day and vary the menu, it's the same EVERY day. Although bathroom is huge, bad lighting.
Location: KFC, Burger King, 2 Malls, Bank with ATM, BUZZ (restaurant for finer dining) Chinese restaurant, coffee house and many bars 5 -10 minute walk away.
If you'd like to create your own vacation and not be lured into the All-Inclusive trap of "fun created for you" then this is ideal. The beautiful, intimate hotel feels like a tropical paradise and is across the street from Rodney Bay. The bed is comfortable, the room is HUGE and the bathroom is hilariously huge! Hang out at Rodney Bay maybe once or twice, its an ok beach, no good snorkeling, one great restaurant (Spinnakers) and many water activities. Warning: the "vendors" are persistent and can get annoying. Many restaurants within walking distance from nice-dining to KFC. The Ginger Lily is ideal as a "home base" and then create your own outings. Taxi's abound. We walked into town every day but I did not feel comfortable walking after dark. It gets dark VERY early in St. Lucia!! Pigeon Island is a 10 min. (water or road) taxi ride away--FABULOUS beach, hiking, restaurant with top notch local food and gorgeous views, and another smaller bar--NO Vendors allowed. The Marina is another good afternoon trip with several restaurants with views of the harbor and boats. DEFINITELY take the "JOE KNOWS" TOUR!!!- (Google Joe Knows) You travel by boat to the Pitons, waterfalls, mud baths, sulphur springs, rain forest and the Rum punch is GENEROUS! The best thing about G. Lily is the NON-all inclusive atmosphere. It feels like home. The worst part is the "Free" breaksfast (coffee, juice, one yogart, 2 toast, EVERY DAY) You can add eggs/bacon for $. Bring bug spray

Beautiful Boutique HotelPosted Jun 26, 2013
Pros: Excellent location, very tidy, great staff!!!
Location: Location was incredible!!!! We were close to incredible restaurants, fun shopping (if you are into that) literally across the street from the ocean!!
Staff was incredible tentative without being over the top. After all we were on vacation and wanted to be alone and the staff was very mindful. If I had to complain it would be the bed. Although the room was exceptional the bed was uncomfortable and small, my legs dangled off the end.

Nice boutique hotelPosted Jun 11, 2013
Pros: Air con & space
Cons: Have to pay for hot breakfast
We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, we were surprised how spacious the room and bathroom was. The pool was a nice size pool, I recommend this hotel for couples as its a small hotel and staff was very polite

Came for a wedding wanted to stayPosted Jun 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel staff were wonderful, helpful and went out of their way to make my brief stay as stress free as possible. My room was much better then my friends rooms who stayed at the big three all inclusive resorts. I will return.

Small and intimatePosted Jun 9, 2013
Pros: Small intimate setting. Walking distance to everything.
Cons: It is showing some wear. The breakfast was not good quality and the service of it was slow.
Location: Reduit beach is just across the street and there are lots of restaurants, and shops a short walk away.
Ginger Lily is a small and cozy hotel. The location is perfect for access to the beach, restaurants and nightlife. The hotel is small, clean and comfortable. The main drawback is the breakfast: it's just not worth it.
