Excellent evening meal

Posted May 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff member on duty was very helpful and produced a really good evening meal. There were no reasonable restaurants nearby so the in-house meal was all the more appreciated. Otherwise, the accommodation provided a comfortable and clean night stop.

A very convenient stop over for Roscoff Ferry Port

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff and very convenient for the Ferry Port - only 20 mins drive
Cons: Nothing
Location: Wine Supermarket is a must!
Arrived very late but staff spoke good English and were very welcoming and gave salient advice on timings to the Ferry Port and directions to the wine supermarket! Clean and functional with much needed coffee making facilities. The room faced the car park and I was able to park directly opposite; alleviating original concern over contents in car overnight - great to have this reassurance. Did not eat but menu looked fine.

out side would benefit from a coat of paint but room service was very good and the tea making facilities were a nice touch

Fine for a few nights

The room was clean and the bathroom was a good size. A little hard to find, but the staff were friendly and with a kettle included this room had enough basic facilities for a few nights stay.

Don't bother

Posted Apr 30, 2013
Hotel website shows restaurant open seven days a week which is why we booked it. Were told by surly & unhelpful receptionist that it was not open fri - sun.We were staying on Sunday. Asked ( politely, in French) for additional mini milk cartons as only 2 supplied. Were told, with a Gallic shrug, they were not available. Cleaning of bathroom left much to be desired. Unsurprisingly hotel was nearly empty. Don't bother staying there.

We were disappointed as we had dinner which was very disappointing and the steak was unbelievably tough. when we booked in September a complementary breakfast was included and the hotel would not honour this pledge. The only good thing was the beds which were very comfortable.

Campanile Morlaix

Posted Aug 13, 2012
Pros: Consistent Campanile standards
Cons: B&B car park
Location: Ideal for Roscoff port; easy access from road. Close to hypermarket and out-of-town restaurants.
As usual Campanile Morlaix lived up to our expectations and offered the acceptable quality and comfort we have always found. The only disadvantage this time was a room overlooking the adjacent B&B hotel car park with cars entering and leaving throughout the night so disrupting our sleep.

Clean, but very much stuck in the 1980's. Concession to the 21st century is a flat screen tv. Restauarant poor, bread was tooth breakingly hard, very poor selection for the buffet, limp lettuce etc. It's was not expensive because of the Hotels.com reduction, but at the normal rate Campanile needs to up their game, stop the typical French complancy and 'it's not their problem, it's your problem' attitude.
