Our favorite on Orient BeachPosted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: It's located right in the center of Orient Beach--a short walk from the beach. Great breakfast by the pool. Two beach chairs on Kakao beach included.
Cons: Nothing. We love it.
Location: Orient Beach is VERY busy with lots to see. You are in the middle of Orient village--lots of dining options, esp. "Le Piment": world class!
This is our regular hotel, and we love it. The staff, a friendly mix of French ex-pats and island locals, is eager to please--especially for returning guests. It's uncanny how well they remember us from year to year, and will reward our stay with special help for dinner reservations, thank-you-rum in the room, and hugs whenever we pass by!

Wonderful time!!Posted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: Size, location, pool, breakfast.
Cons: Internet connection
Location: Lots of activities options, terrific to have so many good restaurants so conveniently nearby.
So beautiful, relaxing, delicious breakfasts, lovely rooms---bed not too hard for us, most beautiful bathroom mirror ever. Restaurant options terrific, and so convenient. People very welcoming and helpful.

Pretty hotel.Posted Mar 26, 2014
The only really bad thing about this hotel is that the pillows were lumpy and hard. Pillows are important. They really need to get some better pillows.

Great Orient Beach LocationPosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Prime location to beach, beach bars and village restraunts.
Cons: Nothing on Alamanda's part - just the lack of running water issue itself in Orient should be addressed by the local utilities.
Location: Orient Beach and Beach bars
What a wonderful stay we had at Alamanda. It was our 2nd time staying there and we were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded into a suite for our anniversary trip. Hotel Staff is very accomodating to English speaking guests. Complimentary breakfast is both fantastic, fresh and fast.

Close to the beach, loved the water and white sandPosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: the location, resturants were right there and the beach was very close. Nice breakfast.
Cons: Shower curtains, water went off 3 days in a row
Location: Good shopping and resturants. Beach was wonderful.
The rooms were clean, but the bed was low and hard/firm. Need new shower curtains, they were way too short and small, water always on the floor. Very nice breakfast and the waitess was wonderful. Loved the beach, sand, and pretty blue water. I would go back.

Nice beach hotel in a great locationPosted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, nice pool, friendly staff, great breakfast, good air-conditioning, good sound-proofing to the rooms.
Cons: A little bit worn around the edges.
Location: Stumbling distance from the beach and the beach bars and grills, stumbling distance from a few shops and a bunch of other great restaurants.
This is a friendly little hotel that's a little worn around the edges, but is clean and functional, and in a great location. Sitting on our balcony looking out over waving palm trees, a beautiful very clean pool and crashing ocean waves across the access road was wonderful. The restaurant courtyard just behind the hotel is great, full of fun and music and great drinks and food, yet wasn't too loud when we turned in and closed our door and windows. Our kind-sized bed was very firm, and the pillows not my style, but the sheets were soft and everything was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, and breakfast out by the pool in the morning is just lovely. I will definitely consider staying at the Alamanda again when I am next in St. Martin, which will hopefully be soon.

Great location close to the beach!Posted Feb 1, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location! Friendly staff and relaxed décor provided a comfortable environment.
Location: Close to the beach with chairs and beach bar and water sports available. Wide variety of restaurants in a square next to hotel. Shopping and dining.
We enjoyed being close to the beach and hearing the waves from our balcony. We had views of the pool and the beach surrounded by lush trees and shrubs. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful and made our stay comfortable. The continental breakfast each morning was delicious and gave us an opportunity to talk with other guests and exchange tips on sightseeing for the day. The hotel had the feel of a relaxed Caribbean club where members greeted each other and shared experiences.

great location beautiful full service beach areaPosted Jan 4, 2014
Cons: The beds were extremely hard.
We all had a wonderful time- the hotel is as close to the beach as you can get in that area- visited other beaches but Orient beach/Bikini beach was the nicest and longest stretch of beach for walking- the hotel staff was very accomadating especially Anuid(sorry for spelling error) The free continental breakfasrt of croissants/fruit and coffee was perfect- you can order more items if you like for $. Breakfast was always served promptly with a smile. Jordan at Bikini beach was the best server I've ever encountered on a beach vacation. Bikini beach has complimentary lounge chairs and umbrellas for hotel guests. Hotel sits right in the village so you have access to many eateries and shops. Easy to rent a car and see other areas of island as well. Overall a truly relaxing vacation
