First day I was ask to leave the room. But that's ok... What upset me was the lack of effort in front desk to get the next room ready. I lost four hours!

Great location and beach service could be better

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Hotel could very easily be excellent the location and beach was fantastic. The room ( 1 bed suite ) was very spacious and fully equipped. Service let the hotel down but this wasn't a biggy for us as didn't stay on site that much as there is so much to see on the island. Facilities were good except didnt work properly or hot tubs in good locations but didn't work! I would return and recommend but go with an open mind and don't expect luxury and first class service but as a good base with good facilities I don't think you will regret it.

Lovely beach

Posted Nov 30, 2014
Location: The Divi LIttle Bay is convenient to both Philipsburg and the St. Maarten airport. However, Philipsburg is not a vacation destination.
My family went to the Divi Little Bay for just one night before leaving from Philipsburg for a boat trip. We arrived at about 3:00 and it took nearly an hour to check in, only to find that fully half of our rooms were not yet available. The front desk staff was very nice but somehow slow, inept or both. We tried to get into the rooms that were ready and the key cards did not work. No bell staff were available to help with baggage, and our rooms on the upper storey of the central hotel did not have any elevator access so we had to heft the bags upstairs. There was a long line just to get the keycards changed, and once again they didn't work after the initial use. The rooms were adequate, although there was a strong smell of mildew when we entered. The bathrooms were nice, as were the views. The hotel is located on a spit of land between two bays, just outside of Philipsburg. It therefore has access to two beaches, and is kept cool by ocean breezes. The beaches are wide and white sand, and there are lovely views of the surrounding hills. We had a large group at dinner and again at breakfast and lunch, and the waitstaff were efficient and helpful despite the confusion of different room charges. The breakfast buffet was generous and the lunch and dinner menus alright if not special. Overall, the hotel was fine as a stopping point for our trip and the people were very friendly and helpful, but the facilities were disappointing.

Amazing beach

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: Nice quiet location. Stunning water front.
Cons: A little better grounds cleanup.
Location: Walking distance to Phillipsburg. It is a great place for relaxing and just kicking back.
Wonderful for a our relaxing get a way. Yet a quick taxi ride to anywhere, should we need excitement. Some really great Restaurants in Simpson Bay area, also Marigot (the French side). We recommend taking a personal tour all the way around the Island. Most taxi's will do this for about $100 US, well worth it, takes at the very most 4 hrs.

great stay

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Food,Beach and watching the cruise ships come in from atop the hill by resort.
Cons: Any improvements would be so minor as to not worth saying
Location: Front street in Philipsburg a must do. Short drive away.
First time here and had a wonderful experience. Nice beach and if you have a room on the west side you can watch wonderful sunsets and sleep to the sound of waves rolling in.

Nice beach

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: It was a nice size..not too big not too small had a restaurant two bars with snack food beach was nice
Cons: I would hope there will be SERIOUS cleaning of the rooms following the hurricane mess!
Location: Another beautiful beach was nearby. One needs to rent a car to get around the Island. everything is very spread out
Overall the experience was good, unfortunately hurricane Gonzalo hit the Island on day 3 of our arrival. The hotel, was accommodating by feeding us three meals at no charge the following day as the Island was without electricity and was dangerous to travel. We had a leak in the ceiling and the rain came in throught he sliding glass doors and seeped across the rug. Our room had gotten very wet and it smelled terrible by the day following the hurricane. So no power and pure yuck...I couldn't wait to wake and leave for home. Some of the buildings had generators, ours however did not. Also the lock on our door would not work so we would have to go to the desk to get someone to let us in each time which wasn't convenient.

Divi resort little bay pleasing experience

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Beautiful location
Cons: Information on websites
Divi little bay is a good resort for a vacation but I booked a 1 bedroom suite with a king bed and the expedia room info showed a king bed with a jacuzzi. We instead had a queen bed in our room and a tub with no jacuzzi. When we asked the hotel staff they said they never have a king bed in a one bedroom suite and no jacuzzi. They were not ready to discuss this further and wanted me to talk to expedia.
