“Can't wiat to go back!”
Our room was beautiful and clean. We booked an ocean view and it was amazing. The breakfast was good- coffe, juice and breads- this is not an all inclusive resort so don't expect it!! The beach was great- we spent our last day on Grand Case. Everyone on the island was very friendly!
“Great second time.”
This was the second time we stayed at this resort and it was just as nice as the first time. No it was better. They upgraded us to a bigger room with a view of the ocean and very close to the restaurant. Service was great and we really got to relax in just five short days. Would go back there again.
“Very relaxing”
A quality hotel in a very relaxing environment with extremely friendly hotel and restaurant workers. Sabrina and Lolo and Phillipe were great in the restaurant. Ben was an excellent snorkel guide. He knew the waters. Don' t take your cell phone or your computer, just go and relax. The local town is very unique. Lots of restaurants in the area. Specials at the hotel's restaurant were excellent. Spiga - Italian restaurant - in town was 5 star. 1 for 1 - euros to dollars- was helpful. Front desk was very helpful with taxis and directions. The water was fabulous for swimming/snorkeling. We could definitely go back.
“Love Celebrating Thanksgiving @ GCBC”
This was our 3rd year spending Thanksgiving week at GCBC - which says alot for a family that likes to travel to new places. We highly recommend it!
“Great location, good hotel.”
The Grand Case Beach Club was a great base to explore the French side of St Martin. I'd been to the island many times before, but had never explored the gem that is Grand Case. Within walking distance, are some of the best restaurants on the island. From high end French cuisine, to a fantastic locals BBQ hangout, its all within a 1/2 mile walk. The Beach Club itself is clean, comfortable and well maintained. Beach is small, but well served with loungers and bar service. Overall prices are fair for what you get. The restaurant overlooking the ocean serves good food, and breakfast with the waves lapping beneath you is about as special as it gets. Staff were friendly and helpful.
“Pure relaxation a short stroll from Grand Case "restaurant row"”
If you're looking for a great, secure beach-front place to relax and appreciate the convenience of being able to simply walk to St. Martin's version of "restaurant row"---and the added convenience of your own kitchen---this could be the perfect place; there's also a terrifc bakery in town and a supermarket a short drive down the road. (If you're looking for the hustle and bustle of the Ducth side of the island---with lots of people, vendors on the beach, etc.---then the Grand Case Beach Club isn't the spot for you.) Rob (from the New York metro area) PS Although you can certainly get around via taxi or bus, it helps to have a rental car in case you do want to explore both sides of the island, including the well-worth-visiting Marigot and Philipsburg, to mention just two spots.
“If not for one problem, I would recommend Grand Case Beach Club to Everyone”
The place is beautiful. The staff is wonderful. The condos are very nice. Proximity to excellent dining is great. If not for one problem, I would recommend this place for EVERYONE. The only issue is this: there is obviously an issue with a septic system somewhere near the south end of the complex, and it causes quite a bit of an odor down at that end of the complex. It's possible the issue is next door (and not with the Grand Case Beach Club), but the 'wafting' just finds its way onto the grounds. I hope this issue can be resolved -- because Grand Case Beach Club really is a gem and I would love to recommend this place to all my friends... But with this septic problem -- I can't really give the glowing recommendation I would like to share.
“Relaxing, beautiful”
We honeymooned at Grand Case Beach Club and had a great time. We rented a car and went to several other beaches, but found the one right outside our room to be the best! Great snorkeling right there, small waves, and secluded. The island does have nightlife if you want it, but we are more chill and stuck to relaxing by the ocean, cooking meals, and drinking wine right on our balcony. Don't walk on the rocks! Lots of sea anemone- which are awesome to look at while snorkeling, but not awesome to touch. Grand case restaurants were not affordable for us, but we're not big foodies either. If you are a foodie, you will love it, but be ready to pay! Lolos were great for a less expensive meal out. Don't leave anything in your car and get Theft Protection Insurance on your rental car. We felt very safe at the Beach Club though- car was safe there too (elsewhere, not so much)!
“Very impressed!”
The staff at the Grand Case Beach Club were extremely accomodating. The first night we spent on two double beds even though our reservation called for a king size bed. When alerted of this their response was that they cannot guarantee the beds but they would do their best to accomodate us. The remainder of out trip were spent on a king sized bed. The Sunset Cafe was stupendous. Selections from their breakfast, lunch and dinner menu were outstanding. I woud highly recommend this place and would not hesistate in returning there. Walking distance to main part of town where many outrageous restaurants could be found.
“Paradise in Grand Case !”
Having been to Cancun, Cozumel, Costa Rica, Belize, Key West etc. ( never on a cruise ship either !)..............I highly recommend the Grand Case Beach Club. Yes it's a bit of a drive from the airport but you can drive completly around the island in less than 2 hours, so it's not a big deal ! The only thing I regret was coming in September when a majority of the restaurants are closed for "vacation"..........which we didn't know till getting there. But regardless, we found good food and had fun. It's expensive but not as much as some islands I hear. The water is great ! Rent a car, they are cheap and you can explore the island for other beaches etc. Orient beach is great except when its crowded by cruise ships ! Mullet bay is nice also. Friar's beach was a little too "local" for us...worried about the car getting broke into! Sail around the island trip is great also...plenty of booze and snorkeling and socializing. Have fun ! The people are nice. Go have a beer, or 3, and watch the show at the airport Sunset Bar ! Beach and amenities are great ant the GCBC...enjoy ! Not a 5 star resort but very nice and very secure for a week in Saint Martin.
