Not the Ritz, but very nice!Posted Jul 5, 2014
While L'Hoste is not a luxury hotel, it is very nice and a great value especially for a 10 night stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable and we had a great time. Best location on the beach and you won't get jammed in like sardines. 60 second walk from your hotel door to your beach chair. Most but not all staff members did a very good job of taking care of us. Definitely recommended!

Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Condition of rooms
Location: Location was perfect.
Our first impressions were not positive since it needs some work to spruce it up. The staff was great, location on the beach great and was a good value. We would like to return.

We loved being so close to the beach!Posted Jun 5, 2014
Pros: Proximity to beach, shopping & restaurants!
Cons: Cleanliness of room, some repairs needed
Location: We did not want to do anything but rest & relax. It was exactly what the doctor ordered.
Traveling there was very easy, staff was ready for our arrival and were very accommodating & friendly. Will plan to return very soon.

we go for the proximity to a great beachPosted May 4, 2014
we did awake the last day with our door open..knowing it was locked before bed..security can be an issue but the beach and nearby amenities make up for less than great rooms

L"Hoste HotelPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Our building was right by the beach and pool. It was located within walking distance to Orient Village. (stores and restaurants)
Cons: It could use some paint and new tiles.
Location: Loved the location right on orient bay.
The room was very rustic with bamboo furniture. The cooktop and frig worked well. There was plenty of draws, shelves and a nice size closet. Loved the beach and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was fine. cereal, yogurt, baguettes fruit etc.

Cute hotel on the best beachPosted Mar 28, 2014
Pros: Location,amenities,pleasant staff.
Cons: Furniture and appliances in the room
Location: Best beach on the island, plenty of watersports, cute restaurants and bars right on the beach, village with more shopping and dinning in walking distance
Charming Carribean room, spacious, equipped but dated.Besides small touches that are in need(old appliances, sliding doors that don t slide etc) hotel is cute and most important on the best beach of the island.Near the village with plenty of good restaurants, supermarkets.Hotel has continental breakfast included, nice selection, needs variety.Restaurants and bars right on the beach, plenty of watersports. Beach chairs and umbrella included, lots of people but not overcrowded.Great feeling overall, salsa night(wed) is the best!

Not everything is what it seems to be!Posted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: To be honest, there was not very much we liked. Some of the staff that we interacted regularly was as helpful as they could be and nice.
Cons: Improve the run down ness of the hotel. Up date things. Invest in a serious wireless system for the whole complex.
Location: The hote was close to the beach. There was decent amount of resturants/bars and shops either on or near. The bad thing was that most closed very early
When we got there the hotel seemed to be ok, a little run down in places. The interior of the room was a bit out dated. The advertisement promised to have free wi fi in the rooms which we never had but for less than two hours during our 9 day stay! It is sad when you can look out your window and see your wireless transponder and it does not work and then the one time it does the staff hooks up a in house wireless router that is not made to stay outside and was unhooked later that day. There seemed to be little help in fixing the computer service other than go down to the lobby and be closer to their wireless system which at times had issues also! Wife and I also had the water go our in our room, no shower or toilet usage for a time. During our stay we came across hidden fees to get this or that which I never read in any of the discription of what you get at the hotel which was disappointing. If my wife and I knew about these things, it was very highly that we would have never stayed there!

Good location on Orient Beach, right in the middlePosted Jan 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Prices were high for what we got compared to other beach locations across the world. Only issue was that they had sewage problems that apparently occur on a regular basis according to two regular guests we talked to. Unfortunately, you had to walk through it to get to beach, but they took care of the problem within about a half day. They were quick to provide a second bed in our room to accommodate our request for two beds and the hostesses at the desk were super!! Continental breakfast was quite adequate and access to the beach was great.

DumpPosted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
First room offered plumbing in bathroom sink was disconnected and kitchenette was rusted with no supplies. Bedding was threadbare, drapes ancient, room dark, clearly had not been rented in a long while. Was told there were no other rooms. Called your customer service line to be moved. Hotel finally came up with an alternate room. Just as dumpy but with operable plumbing. At $327.00 per night this place is grossly overrated. Would NEVER stay there again.
