But all was clean and comfortable and the view was nice.

Incredible experience from check-in to check-out!Posted Mar 19, 2015
Far exceeded our expectations. Large, modern, well-equipped rooms with incredible views of the ocean. Perfectly located near Oyster Pond leaving all the island 'hot spots' easily accessible. More than you could ask for! Highly recommended. Our check-in concierge, Pim Rake, made the trip easy and memorable....

Pros: Views, the staff, quiet/peaceful location.

Location: If a car, beach and 3 lovely restaurants nearby.

Safe and clean hotel with great viewsPosted Mar 11, 2015
It is a hike to get to this hotel but, well worth it for the view. Very safe and clean with nice amenities. Within walking distance to the beach and good restaurants. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Room with a viewPosted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: View from our room.
Cons: Should be a cocktail hour meet and greet once a week.

Great view, friendly staffPosted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: Staff was great - very friendly and helpful. Pool was really nice.
Cons: Access to the back parking lot - although I don't know how it could be done.
Location: Location was good - on the quieter east side of the island - figure a good 1/2 hr drive from airport to get there. Dawn beach is across the street.
Rooms had a great view overlooking the ocean. The rooms were large, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was decently stocked (although no cream or sugars for coffee was a strike against it). Bathrooms were awesome. Complimentary refreshments in the fridge were a great touch and appreciated. Getting to the back parking lot was a trip - very steep hills on very narrow roads made it a challenge and a bit nerve-wracking. Bring your own chairs and towels to Dawn Beach. Westin security a bit overbearing to anyone using hotel beach chairs that are not guests - even when there's only 20 people on the beach...

Awesome views of the ocean!Posted Feb 12, 2015
Pros: Clean & comfortable & beautiful views do the ocean.
Location: Several restaurants nearby that were good. Casino across the street at the Westin. Pretty beachs close by.
We have been going to St. Maarten for 20 years & this was the nicest place to stay. Clean room, comfortable bed, beautiful view from our balcony. Definitely will stay again.

Great View - attractive overall locationPosted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: This property has a great location, is very well maintained, and the staff were friendly and professional.
Cons: Internet reliability is flaky, however this issue appears to be common throughout the Island.
Location: Nearby Oyster Pond has a number of good restaurants. Canoa on the pier was very good. (Big Fish was really the only disappointing experience.)
Room was as advertised- no surprises- a comfortable room properly maintained. Staff were pleasant, helpful, and professional. The view of the sea and local hills is spectacular. There are 2 buildings that hug the side of a steep hill overlooking Dawn Beach, (including the roofs of the Westin Buildings running back from the beach, which only slightly mar the impression.) The lower building has six floors, depending on how you count them, and the upper building, which continues up the hill for a further 6 floors, is joined by an open walkway/patio/security area to the top floor of the lower building. The upper building has an elevator, the lower does not. Since the pool is at the bottom of the lower level, be prepared to take stairs to get to it. (Hotel's online picture Gallery will help to clarify the layout) You can also drive down to the lower level, as the upper building is serviced by a road that climbs above the building and then back down to 2 open parking levels servicing the building. This meandering road, with a gated entrance off the main road, also serves the other spectacular homes literally clinging to the side of the hill, and there are a number of breath taking views of Dawn Beach and Oyster Pond. St. Maarten's roads are narrow and in this part of the island very steep, with some major potholes, - normal for most islands in the Caribbean. The restaurants in nearby Oyster Pond and the Westin are generally very good
