“This nicest place on the French side.”
A beautiful resort with beach, pool, restaurants, gym. Everything is there in a beautiful setting.
“Gorgeous Resort”
This resort is gorgeous. Private beach, although small (about 10 minute walk from end to end), is beautiful and has ample chairs and umbrellas for its guests. Breakfast buffer was great. Orient Beach (about 40 minute walk from end to end) and Grand Case are each less than 10 minutes away. You pay for chairs/umbrellas on Orient Beach, but going there for at least one day is totally worth it. If you're looking for relaxation and quiet and no sight of McDonalds and other chain "stuff", this is the place to be.
“In the middle of nowhere....”
The property is very nice....getting to it by car is a nightmare. The staff is most pleasant and accomodating; lovely pool and beach. I found the food mediocre and the prices astronomic. Our sleep number beds leaked air every day, so had to be reinflated regularly.
“Enjoyable vacation”
Took the water taxi to and from hotel/airport and it was a great introduction to seeing St. Martin. The pool is absolutely incredible- very big! Fun water aerobics class in morning. Beach is beautiful as well- water so clear! Staff works nicely and unobtrusively to keep the place very well maintained. The included buffet breakfast was the best meal- the dinners/ lunch were no big deal. Very relaxing- lots of seating to lounge. Not much to do at night within walking distance- need a car to really go anywhere because taxis are expensive. But we were just as happy to stay and relax at the resort.
“Good choice on St. Martin's French side but not perfect”
The Radisson Blu is in good condition with nicely done rooms, an impressive pool, nice beach (though extremely quiet and isolated) and good service that reflects good management. The hotel staff were uniformly polite and helpful and, other than the hallways which looked like a motel, the entire physical plant was well kept. This is not a place to go for the resort however, as there are more impressive hotels in big resorts like Aruba, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. It is a nice hotel with an interesting location. It is appropriate for families because it is quite compact and secure. The food was mediocre. Considering the location in French St. Martin it was totally unremarkable. The hotel has very good free WiFi almost everywhere. Many guests brought laptops. The hotel can only be accessed through a treacherously steep and poorly paved driveway that is several miles long. It is undriveable if wet. So, going anywhere is a chore. Once you are over the driveway, you are very close to Grand Case and Orient Beach (12 and 8 min respectively) but don't stay here if you plan to drive around often and want to be close to it all. You are ISOLATED. There are a few uninteresting restaurants adjacent to the hotel and another resort which is quite upscale. I strongly recommend eating out in Grand Case. There is absolutely nothing to do at night, no place to get a snack, no ice cream, not even vending machines. There is no place to grab a coffee as well.
“Great stay in beautiful bay!”
Radisson blu hotel is situated in a beautiful bay. The hotel well maintained, welcoming and the pool and beach are gorgious. Staff is friendly. Free breakfast on 2 locations, we always went to have breakfast at the beach restaurant to enjoy the beautiful view and the sea wind. We feel that we had a vacation in little paradise bay. Would definitely recommend it to others.
“Radisson Blu St Martin - Lovely and Elegant”
My husband and twin teenagers (16) spent three nights at the Radisson Blu in St Martin in February. We had two rooms side by side. The property is lovely, the pool overlooking the water with a view of the mountain is fabulous, and the amenities, buffet breakfast, all wonderful. The atmosphere had just the right amount of activity with families and since the pool area was so nice and big-no scrambling for chairs or having to get up at the crack of dawn to secure them. You need a car at this property-really inexpensive and the drive into Grand Case or Marigot for dinner or to tour starts with a beautiful view as you climb out of the cove and over the mountain. I recommend this property for a relaxing oasis with your family in a very welcoming and high class environment.
“St Maarten review”
Enjoyed the hotel. However, extremely disappointed that I could not use my curling iron. Asked EVERY DAY for a transformer and did not get one. Food was good, room good, hallways need updating . cab rides too expensive. loved pool and beach.
“Friendly Staff”
The front desk staff was so welcoming each time we came and left the hotel, often calling us by name. Extremely friendly and helpful in anything we needed assistance with. Only downfall - Wi-Fi is VERY slow...but that seems to be a problem throughout the island.
“Enjoyed our stay”
This is one of the few hotels in St. Martin that had a breakfast buffet. The facilities are nice, the beach on its cove is very calm, quiet and spacious. We liked the secluded neighborhood yet access to Pinel Island is literally down the road. Grand Case is also nearby. You need to rent a car if you stay here- we always do and it's very easy to drive here. If the pricey meals get old, there is a large supermarket at the nearest round about where you can get your own snacks, etc.
