“Cleanest room in all of our caribbean vacations”
The property was a little difficult to get to but once there the facility was wonderful in all aspects. The room was awesome, the bed was one of the most comfortable that we have slept in, and the amenities such as the pool and the beach were especially nice. We would go back to this particular hotel if we visit St Martin again
“An Oasis of beauty”
The Radisson Blu was a real "find" on the island. Affordable luxury. The place is elegant and exudes all the qualities that you look for in a tropical island vacation. It has a spacious swimming pool tucked right up to the equally beautiful and well maintained beach. Both are staffed by attentive and friendly employees who will bring you drinks, re-position your umbrella or recommend local eateries. The price included an expansive, buffet breakfast and as many beach towels as you want. You will need a car to venture out, however. In addition to a very nice, on property restaurant, there are only two other eating establishments within walking distance. With a car, the restaurants of Grand Case are an easy drive. The lobby area of the hotel has an outdoor seating area that is a divine place to relax and read or enjoy appropriately mellow, live music in the evenings. Free WiFi, too, in both the lobby and the pool area for those who can't quite get away from it all. All in all, just a wonderful place to pamper yourself for an island retreat.
“Beautiful resort on one of the prettiest beaches!”
The Radisson St. Martin is located in Anse Marcel and has one of the prettiest beaches on St. Martin. Although it is probably the farthest hotel from the airport, it is located deep in the "quiet side" of the island - the French side. This was our first trip to St. Martin, so my wife and I spent some time exploring several other beaches from SXM airport around the western and northern sections of the island. There is a lot of variety to choose from, but the beach at Anse Marcel was one of the prettiest and you don't have to rent a lounge chair or umbrella. The included breakfast buffet had enough variety to have something different each day. The restaurants at the hotel and just outside are very good, but for the same price range you can have fabulous gourmet meals in nearby Grand Case (our favorite was Auberge Gourmande).
“Exquisite hotel and in pristine condition”
Off-season is the best time to go to this absolutely amazing, beautiful, pristine hotel in French West Indies/St. Martin. My sisters and I went on a week long holiday to The Radison Hotel in Anse Marcal in early September 2009, and we were absolutely stunned by the warm and welcoming reception we received from the hotel staff. They were courteous, extremely friendly, polite and seemed please that we were there. They upgraded our hotel room upon arrival, and it had a great view of the grounds. They also made great recommendations as to where to eat locally. Although the pool was open for a few days when we first arrived, they closed it due to rennovations, but provided free lunch on the beach for the rest of our time there. They were extremely accommodating. The beach was amazing and free of debris and seaweed. However, a few downsides to the hotel were that the main retaurant for dinner was extremely expensive (for those who had US dollars), and the hotel did not offer breakfast. For that, we would have to go around the grounds to neighbouring restaurants, or around the town. Security to the hotel was very good, and we were impressed with the check-points each time. The road to the hotel was an "adventure" to say the least, but we got used to in driving in our car. Furthermore, the views from the top of the road was spectacular. All in all, we would definitely recommend this peaceful, hidden treasure of a hotel, anytime.
“Beautiful oasis in St. Martin”
Newly renovated hotel and very good service. Breakfast buffet included which the whole family enjoyed. The pool was beautiful and beach was nice, although small. We were there off season, so not too many people around which we liked. The entrance road to the hotel is very steep and curvy, but you get used to it after a few days. The trip from airport to hotel takes about 45 minutes depending on traffic and you go thru some very run down areas, so don't let that scare you. Good to have a car to get out and explore and eat at other locations.
“Extremely impressed!”
This hotel is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach, and especially the tremendous and beautiful pool. The hotel staff is very attentive and wonderful, and can recommend wonderful restaurants in the area. Dinner at the hotel is very good, but expensive. The buffet breakfast could be done better. Overall, the stay at this property was delightful, and we look forward to staying here again.
“Great Trip”
We stayed at this hotel when it was the Le Meridien, and it is now better in all ways, especially the new pool area and the service we received from the staff. We had a very positive experience with this resort.
“Wonderful getaway”
We had a wonderful time at the Radisson. In order to enjoy the island a car is a must. Grand Case is literally a 10 minute drive away and Marigot is not much further. Everyone at the resort was very accomodating and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price and was great. We ate at the resort restaurant on the first night, and although a little on the pricey side, the meal was first class. We left on a Friday and the traffic going back to the airport was very heavy. It took over an hour to make the drive. We would go back in an instant.
“Friendly Staff”
The front desk staff was so welcoming each time we came and left the hotel, often calling us by name. Extremely friendly and helpful in anything we needed assistance with. Only downfall - Wi-Fi is VERY slow...but that seems to be a problem throughout the island.
“Great romantic hideaway!”
The hotel was all I expected and more. The atmosphere was very romantic and relaxing. The staff was friendly and we felt we had made friends at the end of our stay. I got to practice my French with the staff and it was fun. The pool and the beach are beautiful. I loved everything about this hotle and would definitely return there.
