Pros: everything, but especially the size of the room, the view and the balcony. Also, the staff is very good.
Cons: Probably some updating in the bathrooms.
Location: We had a very good mahi-mahi dinner at BB's just along the road.
It was our first stay at the Summit and because of difficult flight arrangements, we were able to stay only one night. We were pleasantly surprised by the layout of the hotel and the spaciousness of the rooms and would certainly stay again ... probably for several days. Again, because of timing, we were unable to use the restaurant or the pool, but will during our next stay. Marilyn Andrews P.S. The desk staff were extremely pleasant and one of the maintenance boys was very helpful when our suitcase broke.

Reasonably priced, close to airport.

Pros: Our room was comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced.
Cons: Overall, the facility would need to be updated for us to consider a longer stay. The pool was closed for???, and food/drink options were limited.
Location: Again, it is conveniently located near the airport, but travel outside the complex would best be served by having a rental car or your walking shoes.
We booked the Summit for one night on our return from Anguilla. We needed a stayover due to an early morning flight the next day. Consequently, we were looking for something clean and reasonable, with easy access to the airport. According to hotel personnel, a number of the rooms are rented/leased?? to college students from nearby, and while this provides a nice clientele, it may be the way that the Summit maintains a viable occupancy rate, as the overall facility has seen better days. In addition, while the hotel staff seemed friendly, and helpful, we experienced a communication problem in scheduling a wake up call and 6am cab pickup for out flight. We received no wake up call, and had I not walked outside just before 6, we might have missed our pickup. According the security guard, he had been given the wrong room number, and he did not receive the $10 cab deposit that I was asked to leave at the office. In his defense, he was genuinely concerned, and he retrieved my deposit from other hotel personnel. The poor cab driver seemed rather flustered by the whole ordeal, which apparently was making him late for his next pick up. With pedal to the metal, we made it to the airport in record time, adding a bit of excitement to our departure from St. Maarten.

Location: I enjoy walking-- so I walked to Sunset Bar by the airport. The walk was pleasant and took about 25 minutes. Highly recommend that bar!
The bedroom area, bathroom, and kitchenette were very clean. Kitchen came with glasses and some dishes. It had a full refrigerator with some ice. Awesome water pressure in the shower. Large nice comfortable bed with mirrors all around. Ceiling fan + AC kept us comfortable.
