Nice condo.Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: The Pool area.
Cons: Food service in the condo property.
Location: good for sightseeing
The condo was pleasant and the staff were friendly. the lack of a queen or king bed in the junior suite ws dissapointing. The pool area was nice as well. It would be helpful to have a few vending machines in the building.

Good pool, nice view, attentive crewPosted Mar 9, 2014
Pros: Location, pool, people, quiet, staff
Cons: Better bedding, pillows are horrible, better and faster free WIFI.
Location: Plenty of shopping, restaurants, supermarkets, casino
Very good location in Simpson Bay, nice pool, excellent view of the bay from the fifth floor. The balcony is great. Close to many restaurants and shopping. Descent beach (requires 5 minutes walk). Mediocre bedding, old refrigerator, dated coffee maker and toaster. Free parking very good. Free internet: very slow 346 Kb. Paid Internet: 1024 kb, very slow too, for $40 a week I consider it a ripoff, not to mention that it takes only one device at a time. The staff is very responsive and very attentive. Overall experience: very good. I recommend the place.

nice hotel, excellent locationPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: we liked everything
Cons: AVOID THE SALES TALK OF TIME SHARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they lied to us, said it was only 1 hour, not true, was at least 3 hours.
Location: excellent location, near to all restaurants
we had a wonderful time in this hotel, very central, easy to walk anywhere. Room very clean, daily room service. Excellent view from balcony (ocean). Do not expect a kitchen, no stove, but fridge and microwave and toaster.

Beautiful place right on the beachPosted Feb 27, 2014
Pros: It's a very nice place, beautiful beach, pool, water rentals, etc.
Cons: The Saturday move.
Location: Everything is close by: walking distance to many restaurants, the best ice cream (Carousel), the best baguette.
This is a superb place, except you must rent it from Saturday, otherwise they will move you on Saturday to a different room - that's a big hassle in itself, but since the room where you are moving to is most likely occupied by someone who is also moving to a new room and the room must be cleaned moves, there is a big deadlock. Unless you pack *all* your stuff into your car, you will be waiting for your new room all day.

Outdated timeshare!Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Nice view, good location
Cons: everything needs to improve
Location: great location, close to everything
Room was outdated, they made us move halfway through our visit to accommodate other travellers, bathtub didn't drain, old shower curtains, old TV's, maids didn't clean properly unless left $$, boring, timeshare salespeople always hassling in lobby, no water on entire property from filter coolers or for purchase, no ice in room, extremely loud bathroom fan that didn't work but turned on when light was on so couldn't turn it off, complained to management and they didn't help whatsoever, the crowd was very old and mostly retirees....the list goes on!

Very nice hotel!Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: We liked the updated rooms and they were clean!! The bartender at the Bar was so friendly and seemed to enjoy his job and the people he met!
Cons: Communication between people checking in and the Concierge. Why aren't the welcome packages placed in the room?? The pool was Cold!!!
Location: We thought we were in a good location. We walked to every restaurant, there were so many available! The grocery store was convienent. We used the bus.
Our hotel was very nice! We had a beautiful view overlooking Simpson Bay! We were pleasantly surprised how clean everything was. Every morning someone was cleaning the hallways, sidewalks, and stairways with pine cleaner and water. The staff was nice and mostly friendly. A negative is when we checked in no one told us there was a welcome package at the Concierge desk. We lost the opportunity to sign up for a couple of activities we were interested in doing because they filled up so quickly. In fact, two other couples who went with us, who checked in at different times, were not told about the welcome packages either. We took the Tango to Anguilla which was a fun day! The crew was wonderful. We had a delicious lunch and enjoyed the breathtaking beach! We took the boat to Margot to shop which was fun! The shopping at Philipsburg is much much better than at Margot....less expensive too! The Sunset Grill is a must!! Watching the planes land and take off was thrilling since they were so close. The food is good too! We enjoyed many restaurants!! All within walking distance! We would definitely come to St. Maarten and stay at Simpson Bay again!!

Sweet SpotPosted Jan 30, 2014
Pros: That it was kept clean and orderly and had lovely views.
Cons: Prices at the beach bar are too high.
Location: We loved that there were restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. You don't really 'need' a car if you've already seen the island.
This was our 2nd stay in a B (lockout) unit and we enjoyed our stay. The views are lovely and the staff, especially 'Charles' at the front desk were great and accomodating. The beach is very nice, but was getting crowded by the time we left. We have met many of the regulars who have been coming for decades and they were all really nice. Our only complaint, if you want to call it that, were the drink prices at the beach bar. $8.00 for a plastic cup of rum punch was a little steep. That is proven by the number of people who bring their own drinks to the beach. If the prices were a dollar or two lower, they would sell 3 times as much as they do.
