Pros: pool, cleanliness, very comfortable
Cons: have concierge service available, more restaurants in the hotel since it is not in a convenient location.
Location: renting a car is a must - if not, taking cabs can be very pricey. Philipsburg, Orient beach, Marigot are close by car.
Had a great experience. Most of the staff members were very pleasant and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Excellent time, beautiful property. Location is a bit remote but quiet...need car and interest in heading out for meals, etc OR willingness to remain local.

Westin Dawn is good hotel for the value.

Pros: We like that it is Saint Martin.
Cons: The property could benefit from some improvements.
Location: Excellent restaurants all around the Island. And most beautiful beaches.
We think the Saint Martin is a very beautiful Island with several nice beaches to go to. The French Cuisines at Grand Case restaurants is a most do whenever you visit this Island. While the Westin property is very nice is little big dated, but worth it for its value. The hotel personnel is very nice and friendly.

Great Hotel, easy access to beach.

Pros: Very friendly staff.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Good restaurant nearby but transportation needed with taxi is $6.00.
My wife and i had a great experience. I should have rented a car for the 4 nights we stayed but was apprehensive on the first night. Ended up renting one for 2.5 days. You couldn't get lost on the island even if you tried to. Taxis was expensive from the hotel to simpson beach or maho beach($30) one way Vs $20/day car rental.

Pros: Location
Cons: Activity desk personnel.
Location: Is near to restaurants and points of interest!!
Everything was good except there were no people a the activity desk and I was waiting for someone about 10 minutes.

A convention centre on a Caribbean island!

Pros: Staff were nice and attentive.
Cons: Food is terrible, hotel doesn't have umbrelkas by the pool, hotel is tired and worn and needs to be upgraded. Timeshare upselling!!!
Location: The island is one of the crappier Caribbean islands, there are some ok restaurants, and you need a car.
Ok it's a Westin so I should have had an idea what I was getting into, but I thought, on a Caribbean island, it would be a different experience. This is an average convention hotel with a beach. The good things: staff; they are genuinely nice happy people who engage and want to help you. The staff are the hotels number one thing! Room; it's standard but completely acceptable. The bad: the food; the food is terrible, they can't even fry French fries! Convention time; get used to sharing your holiday with various industrial conventions, in the week we stayed there we had the Western Builders & a large pharma company. This leads to areas of the hotel, (like the pool) being off limits for their parties etc. The pool; it's nice in a tired sort of way but hate being at a pool with no shade and this pool literally has non, they do not provide umbrellas and so your option if you want to go poolside is fry, or fry. I also hate having to sign out pool towels like a sixth grade schoolchild. Service at the pool is sketchy. Beach; it's average at best. Because of the side of the island you are on, the water is pretty rough. Again you cannot get an umbrella on the beach, I kid you not!!!! you can RENT,(yes you read correctly), RENT an umbrella/tent for $28 a day or a gazebo area for $115 a day! I have never, ever, stayed in a hotel that up sells you on shade, you cannot get an umbrella by the pool or on the beach. Service on beach pretty non existent. i ran out of space...

Nice hotel but far away from town

It was an okay experience. Quite uneventful. Hotel staff not as helpful. Not rude, but not helpful either. There was a young man at the check in that was rather condescending. We felt like he would have preferred we disappeare than assist us.
