“Loved the hotel but not the restaurant”

Loved the hotel. Our room appeared to be freshly decorated, and staff was excellent. All items needed were in place and in excellent condition. Had a "king suite" room, and my husband wanted to take the mattress home with us. Daughter not as fond of the fold out couch, but it wasn't bad. Many pillows, and plenty of towels. The restaurant was mediocre. Felt sorry for the sole waitress who had to wait on everyone. It looked OK, but had the "all disco" radio station playing rather loudly. Daughter enjoyed the whirlpool after a long trip to St. Paul. Found the hotel easily, and it was only about 25 minutes to the U of M campus--easy on and off I-94.

I was attending a concert at the Xcel center and opted for this location instead of the downtown location as it was cheaper, had free parking, a free shuttle, and I was able to get a room on the club floor with free cocktail hour and breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

We had a special need and Laura (housekeeping) quickly came to our aid. She was quick and efficient. I let the front desk know of Laura’s performance and I left her a tip.

“Women Rock”

There should be continental breakfast for guests. Nothing out of the ordinary but something simple. I was there for a race and had to but my own food because room service wasn't available that early and did offer simple.

“Great Hotel Staff!!!”

This was one of the best places we have stayed at! The staff was so wonderful to us! They offered shuttle service to and from our the Xcel center. When we got back to the hotel after the concert we were so hungry. The bartender went out of her way to make us each a salad and we never asked her to do this for us!!! Super Sweet Nice lady!!!! At registration they gave us free breakfast coupons and BOGO drink tickets!! I can't say enough about how awesome the staff was at this hotel especially the bartender we had!!!!!!!

“Just right.”

Excellent service, comfortable and clean room, easy access to the freeway, quiet -- overall exactly what we had hoped for. We know the cities and chose the location based on where we wanted to be -- good compromise location between the eastern suburbs and the downtowns.

“Both good and bad stay”

The carpets were very stained in the room we were in. The pool only went to 4 feet deep and was very small. However, We were very happy with the helpful front desk clerk. The hotel decor and hallway was very nice and clean. I appreciated the "shower before you enter the pool" idea.
