convenient, quiet locationPosted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: location and quietness
Cons: Beds, vanities in bathroom.
Location: Scenery. Celtic Colours Concert in October.
Two friends and I shared a room at this hotel for the Celtic Colours Festival. The hotel did not live up to reviews I had read about it. In particular, the beds were double size rather than queen, the mattresses could have been more comfortable and the separate headboards did not seem to be attached to the wall so they moved and rattled against the wall. Instead of a vanity of any size in the bathroom, there was a small, free standing one. The front desk also processed the charge for the room immediately upon our arrival rather than at check out as per usual practice.

Great Place to Stay in St. Peter'sPosted Aug 14, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, decor and the house dog :)
Cons: The view from the bedroom window, cross corner to the kitchen, and directly facing patio, had to close curtains for privacy.
Location: Great, close to everything.
Friendly staff, great location near the locks, loved the "rustic" hand made furniture. The view was not so pleasant. Loved the house dog, Bailey.

Great location, comfortable room, and great food.Posted Aug 4, 2013
Pros: Once we got back to the hotel, there was no need to go elsewhere for dinner or a drink. There was a full restaurant and a lounge complete with music.
Cons: Great as is.
Location: Conveniently located just off the Canso Causeway. Easy to follow one of three routes northward from this location.
We drove to Inverness on the West coast of Cape Breton one day and then to Lousibourg on the East coast the next day. We ran out of time or we would have tried a trip to Baddeck or Sydney in central Cape Breton.

Very good. Only negative comment restaurant food a little over priced we thought, but good.
