“a short walk to the beach”

we weren't disappointed the hotel was clean and actually not too far from the beach unlike alot of hotels that have names that can be deceiving. I would definately use this hotel again!

“Treasure Island Gem”

This is an older hotel which was extremely clean. My room had a kitchenette a separate bedroom and bath. The balcony had a beautiful beach view. It was a wonderful surprise!

“Great Beach Motel”

Great place to stay in Treasure Island. As with all beach motels in this area, be prepared for a long walk to the water. No worse here than other places in Treasure Island. Room was clean, air conditioners kept the room cool. We were lucky that the usual afternoon showers did not appear during our stay.

“Algiers Gulf Resort”

This is not a fancy hotel, but has recently been renovated. For the price, this hotel exceeded our expectations. It is located on a really nice beach (just steps from the beach). The room had new furniture, a full size coffee maker, a refrigerator and microwave. The air/heating unit was new with a remote control. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a dog-friendly motel that doesn't charge extra for your dog. We will definately stay here again.

“Well worth the money.”

A nice place to stay. A kind of retro style motel. On the beach and easy access to everything. Nice and quiet in the evenings. The staff was pleasant and informative. Rooms were clean. The price was right! Not fancy, but you for sure get what you pay for. I recommend for all.

“Good value for the money.”

We booked 1 night here while in the area for a game at Tropicana Field. Very nice young man at the front desk. He was very accomodating for our simple requests. Very nice, clean outdoor pool and BBQ area. Room was comfortable, although not as quiet as I would have liked. But al-in-all, just fine for the money. A good value. Only drawback was no ice maker to service the hotel, just an ice tray in the mini-fridge.

“Not bad.”

I wasn't too sure about this hotel, was kinda older, and price was cheap for on the beach. Room was on the small side, but not too bad. Could use some rearranging to make it a little more comfortable. Table was realy close to the bed. Noise from other rooms bleed into the room, and the parking lot is really small. By the time we went to bed, the noise had quieted down a lot, and even the road noise died down. I am a very light sleper and was able to sleep fine. The bed while only a queen was big enough, not huge, but enough. Remote controlled ac, ceiling fans were nice. Pool seemed very well kept. Ok cable selection, better than a lot of hotels. Area was fairly nice. Beach was good. Some food around, but you have to be kinda carefull. One local place gigi's was good, some mexican/bar vip lounge sucked bad. Area seemed to be safe, plenty of police around.

“Nice throw-back hotel to the basics of the past”

Great value. Good size rooms - clean and comfortable. Great location. Pool was right outside my door and the beach just to my right. Only downside is when I went to check out at 8:30am the office was not occupied. I had to leave and phoned back several times but calls went unanswered (invest in voicemail).

“Neat and basic at a good price”

Rooms are basic but neat and clean. Motel reminds me of the Mom & Pop motels my parents stopped at in the 60's when we were on vacation. Heated pool was a plus. The motel is situated on the beach. The price was right, I have paid three to four times the amount at a condo rental just down the street. The staff was very friendly and accommadating. I would definately recommend this motel.
