Algiers Gulf Resort

Room was OK, Pool area was nice and clean. Problem is that the mattress was soft and sagged towards the middle. This made for 5 nights of uncomfortable sleeping by my wife and I. The manager and maintenance manager did not seem to care about our situation. The wifi was very weak when it did work. Not a great experience over all.

I selected this hotel because of its location and because it was a low rise hotel. However, during a five night stay my room was only cleaned once. I noticed it said you had to ask for room service, but even after I asked it still was only cleaned once. Furthermore, the plumbing needed serious attention and the office was only open from 9-5. After that, you had to go across the street to find someone to give you a key or, in my case, check out. As well, there was no room extension for the phone so my husband couldn't reach me the first night and I gather called the police!!! After that, we used cell phones only. Not exactly a happy stay despite its wonderful location.

A nice place to stay. A kind of retro style motel. On the beach and easy access to everything. Nice and quiet in the evenings. The staff was pleasant and informative. Rooms were clean. The price was right! Not fancy, but you for sure get what you pay for. I recommend for all.

Nice location.decent room.helpful to have a stove and fridge and dishes.pool is clean.couch arms were dirty. Could use some new furniture, in my room anyway.I'd stay again for location and price.

The stay was fine, the hotel said newly renvated that is a lie, the have only repaint the rooms, the bathroom floor tiles sticky door and windows rotten and cannot open. Blinds broken magled up. Algiers Gulf Resort need a complete renovations not staying there again.

I was very impressed by this place after reading some of the reviews! Give this place a chance. Everything you could need is in your room, or within walking distance. It's clean. Staff friendly. Large rooms. Comforts of home. Oh, and the pool is great. I'd go back! If you are going to nitpick about the tiny details of a very nice hotel room for a low price on the beach- then you have missed the point. Relax and enjoy the beach, this isn't the Ritz. :) (Oh, and support small business, all the big businesses started small.)

Hotel sign said "renovated:, room was not. Duck tape in fridge. MIssing paint damaged, fixture, rusted lamps etc...

The room furniture was relatively new and the room was clean. The bathroom needs updating. Perhaps the worst was that the bathroom window was cracked and "fixed" with masking tape.

Very friendly staff. Room was nice size and clean.
