Barefoot Hotel 3 day stay

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: location on beach
Cons: staff service and housekeeping.
Location: done above.
We had to do our own housekeeping, change our sheets and towels, sweep the tiled floor, etc. I had a visitor that met us in the parking lot and parked for 2 hours. The hotel charged me $10 to allow them to park in the empty parking lot. On the plus side. Hotel was right on the beach, with a beautiful view from the balcony. Restaurants were close, but, food was disappointing. I would consider going back, but, its not a sure thing.

Easy walk to dining and shopping; super friendly staff. The room was a nice set up with a kitchenette. We would stay here again.

Perfect getaway!

My boyfriend and I went for a three day stay. Quaint, private, nice rooms with all the amenities one needs. Although we did not bring our children this trip, I noticed a lot of happy families vacationing! It's a nice hotel for all types of people. Staff was kind and courteous, as well as attentive. Finally, the location on the beach was fabulous. Not only could we easily access the beach from our room, we could also walk to John's Pass. I am already asking my boyfriend when we can return! Perfect getaway from a harsh New England winter.

Very Unfortunate

Posted Mar 22, 2014
The mattresses were very thin & the metal frames were noisy on the bed & pullout couch. You could only get help during business hours. That's not a hotel. We asked for tissues, but didn't get. We had 2 adults that wanted regular coffee, but only one pack was in our room. For the price of almost $250 a night with the taxes. It was not worth it. In addition, you could hear all the Gulf Blvd. traffic thru the closed door. Very unfortunate.

Nice hotel close to the beach.

Pros: Right on the beach.
Cons: Put a small 2 burner stove or hotplate in the rooms.
Location: Walk on the beach, shop at Johns Pass, swim, and relax.
Great view from the balcony. Only thing lacking was a small stove. Would have loved to be able to heat something up for dinner since the room was so expensive.

Nice hotel close to the beach.

The view from the room was just breathtaking beautiful and I like the way the room was set up and decorated. The toilet handle was broken and the toilet ran all the time and then overflowed. There also were parties that kept us up all night before an early flight. But the staff were very helpful and courteous. I would recommend having someone there at night to enforce an 11:00 p.m. curfew. If these changes occurred I would come back. If not, for the price, no.

Right on their private beach. Near great food/shop

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Front facade/office is a separate building and looks a bit tacky, gives the wrong impression.
Location: On a beautiful beach, great shopping and restaurants nearby-not intrusive-it's two blocks away. Interesting things for kids nearby, too.
Location-super. Rooms-clean, everything included in the suite. Great shopping and restaurants very close on a charming boardwalk.
