Not bad for the pricePosted Jan 27, 2015
We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay while visiting family. The place is no frills. The room was comfortable. There was a musty smell to it but it was tolerable. The maids were hit or miss and towels had to be asked for. Don't go near the pool - it was scary looking. Breakfast included - decent coffee and fresh waffles you make to order. Not a bad place if you just need a place to sleep.

Good value for the moneyPosted Jan 26, 2015
A nice clean room with plenty of space ( only one King sized bed, as requested). Perfectly nice bathroom, withlenty of towels and hot water. Good sized refrigerator. Would definately stay there again.

This hotel is old, dark & moldy.Posted Jan 22, 2015
The lobby is dark, no lights on, like a cave & un-inviting. The hotel is old & the last time it was remodeled it was a cheap slapped together job, from the white caulking on the shower wall panels that are a dark color to the rug in the hall that was stretched & buckling. There is so much condensation on the windows that there is a 1/2 inch of mold along the bottom frame of the window glass. The plastic backing on the curtains stick to the windows & leave the plastic stuck on the glass like duck-tape. When you park on the south side of the hotel you can see how the plastic has rotted & stuck to the windows in the rooms on that side of the hotel. It appears that they use the first floor rooms on the south side of hotel for storage & the 5th floor is not in use. Leaking roof??? Neighborhood is not safe a lot of transients are walking through & the staff is usually looking out doors to observe what's going on outside. No, I won't go back, this hotel should be knocked down & rebuilt. The only good thing about the hotel is the staff, they were very nice & friendly.

Beds seemed smaller than queen sized and the pillows were terrible. Small, lumpy and not at all comfortable. I was also concerned by the jury rigged outlets with multiple adapters plugged in. We had issues with noisy guests above us but staff was very responsive. Breakfast was disappointing.

Conveniently situated beside highway 19Posted Dec 31, 2014
Room was spacious with two double beds. Quite comfortable. Rooms have air-con individually controlled. Free wifi and a coffee maker & microwave. Breakfast a little disappointing but no worse than other hotels of this type in the US. There were bagels, muffins, cereals/porridge, biscuits (like scones) & sausage gravy. However, the most popular breakfast choice was the waffle maker. Guests can make their own waffles and then top them with syrup etc.

just okPosted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: The staff
Cons: Maybe cleaning the hall carpet would get rid of the odor. The rooms could use some upgrading.
Location: Mall and movie theater close by and a Whole Foods. Dunedin's downtown is fun.
We used the hotel for overflow accommodations and spent little time there. It was OK, except the hallway smelled. The hotel staff members were good. We didn't eat the breakfast. Overall it's an ok place to sleep but wouldn't want to spend much time there.

Convenient location for Clearwater/DunedinPosted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: I liked the convenient location right off of US 19.
Cons: Older TV's should be replaced. Some of the furniture looked a little old and worn.
Location: Convenient to the beaches and downtown Clearwater and Dunedin.
We were visiting family in both Clearwater and Dunedin, so the Baymont was a perfect location for us. The grounds were well lit, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. I would highly recommend staying at the Baymont if you are visiting Clearwater.

not nice experiencePosted Dec 4, 2014
We stayed here with our small dog last year. We didn't know the had changed their policy to only service dogs. They would not accommodate our dog as a one time courtesy. We had to drop our dog off with a relative in the area. Also, the hotel is looking very rundown. Sheets are thin and pillows are small lumpy 14"-ish squares.

Live locallyPosted Nov 30, 2014
I would use this hotel again. I live locally and sent my out of town family there for Thanksgiving. They enjoyed the quiet clean rooms... and breakfast
