Ocean View ParadisePosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Perfect for family with lots of room and two full bathrooms and separate master suite. Close to Pass-a-Grille Beach and Fort DeSoto state park.
Cons: Phones were hard to use and could not connect to X-Box live.
Location: Wonderful beaches, boating, and Hurricane Restaurant is world famous for seafood.
My family and I stayed here five nights (SUN - FRI) and were very happy. Rooms are private, quiet, and great A/C. Outside patio with table/chairs is relaxing with view of pool and gulf beach. Free parking plus access to Don Cesar Hotel and it's fitness center. Full kitchen was useful and saved money with Publix grocery across street. Pet friendly.

Perfect for families!Posted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Pool, tiki bar, proximity to the beach.
Cons: Rooms could be updated, and kitchens deep cleaned.
Location: Close walks to good restaurants, and very close to beach.
We stayed here for a holiday weekend, and it was perfect for our family. We cooked all of our meals there, and having a separate bedroom, second bathroom, and pull out bed was perfect for our 3 yr old at nap/ bedtime. Great tiki bar, nice family pool, and a short walk to the Don if you want a massage/ fine dining.

Nice hotel, not so nice hidden fees.Posted May 12, 2014
Loved our stay and the hotel. But upon checkout I was given a bill that reflected an extra $25 plus tax for each day, listed as resort fees. I wasn't expecting a bill of $200 when I thought I booked everything in advance. Never had this happen at any other hotel. Other than this, the hotel was fantastic.

DisappointedPosted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: There was plenty of room.
We booked 5 nights for our 10 year anniversary. The room was okay, the kitchen was ok but the coffee pot was small and messy. They did not clean the room very well, and even skipped us one day. They never vacuumed. Noise, Noise, Noise and more noise. This was the noisest hotel I've ever stayed. Screaming kids from early morning till late night. Neighbors upstairs stomping and loud at 3 am.You could hear neighbors conversation from balcony. Ocean view was not as expected. I would not recommend to stay here if relaxation and romance is what you're looking for. The mattress on the bed was old and saggy.

Hotel on beachPosted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: On beach, can access Loews hotel for gym and spa
Cons: Update the rooms. Add more cookware, fix doors so they close without having to slam them. Work closer with travel sites in order that guests get what
Booked a superior king room thru expedia after stopping at hotel to view rooms. When we checked in, we were told that we were being upgraded to a room closer to the beach. When we went to room, we were put into a room with a double bed and obstructed beach view. When we went back to front desk we were told nothing else was available. Room had kitchenette with minimal utensils and cook wear. Outdated and sofa very uncomfortable and worn out. Rooms were noisy as everytime someone would shut door in a room nearby, you could hear it in your room. Expected much more considering this is a sister hotel of loews and for price paid, was disappointed. Beach however is beautiful, family friendly and quiet.

Hotel with an awesome staff and great virwsPosted Mar 24, 2014
Excellent staff.. The team went above and beyond to assist us, and the views of the beach are great from every room. The room we stayed in could have used an upgrade, but I was told some rooms have be renovated.

Perfect location no frilsPosted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, washer and dryer in the room, "free" beach towels, comfortable queen bed and queen sofa bed, full kitchen close to grocery store
Cons: Need 2 bathrooms, need 2 separate bedroom
Location: Restaurants, groceries, pharmacy and highway.
We got there early, but within an hour our room was ready. We had the first floor so we dint have the best ocean view but was ok. We had a great pool view. All the rooms are ovine view, but some better then others. The room was big enough for 4, but only one bathroom, full kitchen. Washer and dryer, pet friendly, very courteous staff. Pool was warm, hot tub was great, the rest of the guest were very nice and friendly. Parking on the premises and free. Is a beach front hotel, they give you towels to use at the beach or at the pool, that was very nice. A couple of issues. There is one bedroom with queen bed, the other is in the living room with a queen size sofa bed, If you want an umbrella or a beach cabana, the fee is extra, but not too bad, $15-30 depending on the weather. No restaurant on the premises, but we had access to Don Cesar resort, which has restaurant, spa and a couple of pools, about 2 blocks away. If you order room service, you have to wait about 45 minutes for the food to arrive from the other resort. There are over charges too, for example a 25 charge for hotel fees daily, don't know why? 45 daily for pets fee. But overall it was a great experience, specially on our last night we had 4 friends that live close by, they were able to stay free of charge, they even provided 2 cods for them also free of charge, so they were very accommodating, and we had a late ( 1:00pm ) checkout.

Excellant stayPosted Mar 8, 2014
Cons: Out sde grills and a snach bar where you coulld get a burger etc.
Location: Very easy to get to lots of restaurants in the area and easy to get around. Trolley just outside if you wanted touse it.
The hotel was very nice. It was very clean and roomy. I was supries that. It had 2 bathrooms. Both were very nice. The couch & love seat where in good condition but like hotel furniiture they where not all that comfortable. The kitchen had a good asortment of dishes ect, but you could not of cooked a large meal. That was fine with us as we only intended to eat breakfast there. Would of been nice however if they had a gas grill or 2 for people to use for cooking meals. Not really much for foogitems to purchase at the front desk either. Balancy was very nice and was furnished well. Overall I would go back and stay there again and would tell othersto give it a try
