“Have stayed there many times and would definitely recommend to others”
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel many times before whenever we are in the St. Pete's Beach area! Everyone from the hotel receptionist (Debbie) to the cleaning lady (PePe) and all their staff members are professional, courteous and make you feel right at home. Their food, whether you eat at Players or outside at Jimmy B's is outstanding! The music is great and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! You want relaxation, this is the place to stay!
“Good location”
This hotel is in a good location in St Pete beach. Rooms were clean enough, was dissapointed to discover they only had rooms with 2 double beds. I don't think I saw this information anywhere when I was booking. I would probably not book at this hotel again due to this issue but the rooms and location were clean enough
“Will go back”
Great location, nice staff. The room needs major overhaul.
“Best Kept Secret”
I was nervous about booking a hotel online for the first time but I got lucky! The hotel itself is 50 years old so it's not a plush resort accommodation but that didn't matter to me because I didn't spend much time in the room. The beach is beautiful and BIG! The staff was extraordinary - very courteous, friendly and helpful, and to me that's much more important than the room itself. The hotel is within walking distance of a couple of great restaurants: Skidder's, Silas Dent's and is a very short drive to several others. We didn't even need to rent a car because of the Free Beach Ride taxi. They work on tips only. Will definitely go back!
“Very Nice place to stay.”
The staff was very friendly and helpful. the courtyard was beautiful. the pools were heated and very nice. it seemed the this beach-side bar had (good) live entertainment every night, and others would come from surrounding hotels for the music. we didn't have an issue with that as our room was midway down the hotel. We didn't get the kitchenette upgrade we we hoping for, but otherwise the room was very nice. The free parking was great, and it was pretty close to several other attractions.
“Awesome !”
I have to say this is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at! From the great staff (all shifts) to the clean room, the clean grounds, the landscaping, fountain and pools. Everything was comfortable plus a great little kitchen, too! The beach is a short walk from the hotel, with easy access to the bar, restaurant and bathrooms! Everything a person needs for a great get away. I'll be back !
“PARTY HOTEL”
THE ROOMS WERE NOT SOUND PROOF. WE HEARD EVERYTHING FROM A DRINKING COUPLE IN THE ROOM NEXT TO US. THE PLACE IS NOT A RESORT EVEN THOUGH IT HAS POTENTIAL. THEY DO NOT CATER TO GUESTS. MANAGEMENT DOES CATER TO THE NON GUESTS WHO COME IN AND PARTY LOUDLY WITH NO CONSIDERATION TO THE GUESTS. EVERY NIGHT I COULD NOT SLEEP UNTIL SECURITY CHASED THE NON=GUESTS AFTER THE MUSIC ENDED. GET A ROOM UP FRONT AND YOU MIGHT BE OK. GOOD LUCK.
“Hotel polite, Expedia not so much”
Nice place, good location. First room we got had a strange odor. Asked to switch at the desk, they were very accomodating, moved us immediately and that room was fine. We'd go back, plenty of decent places in the area.
“Nice beach hotel and bar”
Enjoyed the location and beauty of the landscaping. Staff was friendly, housekeeping was great, however, I was disappointed in finding a cockroach in the bed. I think it's over-priced. The building is dated and parking was odd. Few spaces available in the fron tof buildg. and parking on the sides are "one way", so you have to back out when leaving. It was nice to have an outdoor bar on the premise.
“Something to consider.”
The only thing we would recommend is a larger refrigerator.
