“Great amenities/location, but rooms felt old.”

The view from room was awesome-looking on the water. The pool area very nice; wish they had a better playground for the kids-old swingset/slide and not much else. Breakfast buffet not worth the $18.95 price. The shuttle too the beach was great. The rooms felt old and the balcony was not very inviting for such a nice view.

“Sun in Florida”

Great place to stay!! The pool area is large and the staff takes good care of the gorunds. The pool bar wait staff was very good. The only thig we didn't like was the beds could of been more comfortable. We will be back!!

“Very friendly and helpful staff”

Enjoyed our recent stay at the hotel. Great views. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is across street from beach which is somewhat disappointing but they did provide transportation back and forth to Sand Key Beach across the street and provided towels. The beach is very nice - it is lined with small shells. You can rent very nice padded lounge chairs with umbrellas on the beach. These chairs are much nicer then the ones at Clearwater Beach. It was a wonderful place to stay.

“Very Nice, Not on the Beach”

This was a beautiful hotel with great amenities and service. Very nice staff with a great pool and workout room. Also great if you have kids because of all the special accommodations for them such as an activity room and kiddie pool. BUT, the hotel is not on the beach, it is on the inter coastal side with a nice view, but the beach is across the street and a good 5 min walk. Other than that, great hotel.

I recommend Frechy's Restaurant, great atmosphere, good prices on food and drinks, great food.

“Fabulous Get Away! Will be going back for 3rd trip!”

I have stayed at this hotel once before with my son. THis trip he took a friend. The rooms were perfect for this situation. I had the bedroom and they could use the front room with sofa bed! Privacy for all. My boys are teenagers and we met lots of people! Played water volleyball daily and looked forward to it. CLose to the beach with a shuttle that drives you over and picks you up. The hotel faces the bay(which the hotel sits on) and you look from the front and can see the ocean. THe restaurant at the hotel is excellent and the pool bar if so convenient! You can order lunch, dinner or just a snack while poolside! Very kind staff and Savanah, the pool deck manager is the best! She really keeps the place in perfect condition! Very friendly staff and helpful! I also love that there is a shopping strip next door with some fun shops for everyone plus several great little restaurants. CLose to Clearwater but with less of the intensity. Very much a family hotel.

Area recommendations

Definitely visit Pier 60 in the evening, walk through the souvenir stores in CLearwater and most importantly, go the the Marine Aquarium and meet Winter the dolphin. A wonderful experience and helps a worthy cause. We rode the Jolly Trolly one day and this was a fun way to see everything.

“Pictures on web were better than real thing.”

My family was a little disappointed in the hotel. It was older than the pictures on the website indicated. The pool was beautiful, however, you have to get there early in the morning to get a lounge chair. The toilet in our bathroom had trouble flushing, but maintenence came out right away and fixed the problem. The faucet also leaked. The carpet was old, and the bathroom didn't look entirely clean. The beach was beautiful and a short walk through the parking lot of the Sheridan to get there. We didn't eat at the restaurant - highly overpriced. Great little restaurant down the road fed us breakfast and lunch. We had to cut our visit short, but the staff was very considerate.

“Best place to stay in the area!!”

I simply loved this hotel. The staff was amazing, the suite was amazing, the location was great too! We already plan a return trip to clearwater beach in a couple of years and plan to stay at the Marriott again.
